They both knew I was skeptical about all of it. "Matching set. They're much sexier," Kendall replied as she began to shift through the matching sets of lingerie. I sat back and watched the two girls work before I rolled my eyes at them both and walked over to Piper. "I wish I had a mate," Piper sighed as I walked over. I smiled weakly at her and nodded my head. "Your time will come before you know it, Piper. It'll be perfect and worth the wait," I told her. She nodded at me and smiled up at me.

I knew it would take some time to fully have all her affection, but I swore I was going to wait, wait for when she'll finally surrender to me, to our bond. ~~ Later on during the day, I found Annabeth in the east parlor. She was curled in the window seat with one of my books, 'Lycan Wars: The First Betrayals.' Her curly hair fell like ink across the page. There was a smudge of it on her cheek. She didn’t hear me come in. Didn’t scent me. Humans didn't have those sharp sensory abilities. I could’ve stood there all day. Watching her and she wouldn't know.

Even more than I realized. “P-Piper, Sir,” I hear Andie respond. “Piper?” he sneers. “Hang up.” “What? Alpha, no. She –” “HANG. When the door shut, Piper gave me a fierce look. “Is the mighty Alpha Thane finally here to do what his been trained to do?” She taunted. The whole time she was speaking, she was stepping backwards. “I’m actually surprised it took this long.” She continued, I could feel her heart racing. I could tell she was afraid. Afraid of me? I hope to see you once again " she smiles "Sure Mrs. Jones. Have a safe flight " I tell her before they turn and walked away. I could see Piper and Annalise battering.

They darted looks at Piper who was sitting on the other side of Caprice. Piper and Caprice had known each other for more than a decade. They both hailed from Glanchester and came to Westchester University to study together. They pretty much grew up together.
