Shoving the book into my backpack, I pull the straps tight onto my shoulders before carefully stepping out of the rubble at my feet until I am outside. Going downhill takes much less time than going uphill, and I make it to the broken truck in no time.

Not then, probably not so soon. But I can say, it was painful. It was painful to be running away from the place you were able to call your home. But..what choice did I have? He told her with a sad smile and turned away from her to disappear through the front door. Runa left the house at a dead run. When she reached the tree line, she shifted. She had no idea of where she was going, she only knew she had to get there fast. Her paws kicked up chunks of earth as she flashed through the trees and out of her pack's territory. I feel my existence means nothing in my Pack. My brother trying to remain optimistic that things will change back to normal.
