His Lordship Alexander Kane

His Lordship Alexander Kane

There was a commotion in the pool as bubbles rose and burst. Were they about to emerge? Alexander halted his steps and gazed at the pool. He had always felt there was something inside, and it seemed there were quite a few of them. Suddenly, water splashed everywhere as a figure the size of a calf leaped out, covered in mud and grime. It was a swamp poison frog. Its first target upon emerging from the water was none other than Alexander. Its elastic, adhesive tongue darted toward him with incredible speed.

Anemones

Anemones

Including the roof, it was made up of glass. In the center, among palm trees, exotic shrubs, and giant ferns on a light brown wooden floor was a cream-colored rug on which stood two beige sofas and four armchairs of the same color around a low wooden table. On it stood a white frosted glass vase full of anemones, which immediately caught her attention because, as cut flowers, they didn’t fit into an interior full of various species of living plants. She supposed they were only here for her sake. “Do you like anemone coronaria?” She asked, but he didn't know what she was talking about. "I asked if you like anemones, but I see you don't. You treat them only as a prop.”

he asked “Those creatures, amphisbaena, they are just like snakes but with hands. They don’t have the ability to mind-link or what so ever but if my guess is correct, it must be traveling back to its master. If it reaches his master, then yes, they know I am here” she said with a sad smile, muting Zaden at once.

The entire area shines in the moonlight, making it looks as ethereal as you would expect in Araphyra. In the pool, there are tiny creatures that glow in the dark, or at least, glow in the moonlight. I can see them swimming around and some are lying on the rocks. As I approach, I see all their heads lift to look at me, even the ones in the water come to the surface so they can see me. “They’re called axolotls.” Anastasia’s voice drifts over to me from the edge of the pool. I had been so captivated by the pool, that I hadn’t seen her.

I feel like Richie was ripped off in this book, he didn't do anything wrong and he was treated as though he did. if he led Gwen before his mate on or if she was an old fling I'd understand. I also didn't like how we got snippets of the other siblings love lives as if there won't be a book on them.

asked Amal. “Mostly avians, some mammals, and also some reptiles,” she replied. “One of my drones even found a moss-covered carnivorous rodent the size of a boar. Although I find it odd that they did not find a single amphibian. Are you certain this is where the swamptoads are?” Amal double-checked the coordinates that she had, then compared them to their geo-positional location. They were a near-match. “This is definitely the right region,” she said. “Unless they accidentally put a typo in their own contract. That’s always a possibility, you know?”

THE SALVATION : THE LEGEND OF THE WESTLAND

THE SALVATION : THE LEGEND OF THE WESTLAND

And on the other side of the island is the kingdom of the amphibians, the enemy that ghouls cannot overcome, and this is what keeps the balance on this island. Amphibious creatures are those which have the natural ability to survive either on land or in water for extended periods of time. Their external shape is like the human shape and their color tends to dark blue and they mostly eat fish. What makes this race strong is to drag opponents into the water and use the feature of breathing under water and leave the prey suffocating by not allowing it to get out of the water. The kingdom of the amphibians is built on an archipelago consisting of several small islands, as their kingdom extends t

Ammon replied. " Ammon, please don't get hurt." Amaria spoke up, and he nodded. They rode away, leaving Ammon behind. 'It's best if I do this in my Werewolf form,' Ammon reasoned as he transformed into his Werewolf form. He was larger than Jareth and Evera's, had dark purple fur, and could stand on his own two feets. He leapt to the ground, grabbing one of the stalactites for support. Then he jumped from stalactite to stalactite until he reached the massive cocoon.

2nd story in the "next generation" of The Guardian series. This one takes a more fantasy twist but totally works. I was enthralled all the way to the epilogues which had me crying yet again. This author updates regularly & always concludes her stories. No worries about abandoned books with her.

Frequently Asked Questions

The latest 'Amphibia-Anne' book is such a delightful continuation of Anne's adventures! It dives deep into her life after returning from Amphibia, and let me tell you, it’s like reuniting with an old friend. What I find fascinating is how the book explores her struggle to adjust back to the mundane human world while everything around her has changed. There's this tension between reality and the magic she experienced, which really captures the essence of feeling like a misfit.

The narrative beautifully blends humor with heartfelt moments, showcasing Anne's interactions with her family and friends who don’t quite understand her journey. I particularly enjoyed the chapters where she tries to explain her time in Amphibia to her best friend, and the awkwardness that ensues—it's relatable on so many levels! Plus, the illustrations that accompany the text really pop and bring the characters to life in a way that feels nostalgic yet fresh. It’s a must-read for anyone who felt a deep connection to the series and is eager to see how Anne navigates her new reality while holding onto her Amphibia memories.

Overall, it's a rollercoaster of emotions, and I can't help but feel excited for where the story could lead next!
