ALISA’S POV The bass from the speakers vibrated right through the soles of my shoes, making my chest ache. I hated this place. The VIP lounge of The Black Fang was always suffocating, packed with high-ranking Alphas and Betas drowning themselves in expensive alcohol and raw pheromones. As a low-ranking Omega, I didn't belong here. But tonight, I didn't care. Tonight was my fifth wedding anniversary. I had spent three hours in our kitchen, carefully cooking a perfect steak dinner, dimming the lights, and waiting.

Chapter 14 Anne, on the other hand, was floating in excitement. It was only in the morning that her vigor was strange. Her workmates can see this. Since it was normal for feelings to get stronger as time passed, it sounded more believable. She impressed the foreign partners and they immediately signed the deal with their company, awarding them a five-year contract worth millions of dollars, that could be renewed after the initial term.

****************** *THREE DAYS LATER* ANNA It's been three days. Three good days but yet nothing has come out of our hurrying up and down and it's just making me so sad. I've done everything I can and even went to the police station a couple of times but yet they've found no clue. I'm just tired of everything and think maybe jumping off a cliff would be better than all of this I'm going through. My head is literally on fire because of this and the sad truth is that there's nothing I can do.

Anne gazed out of the window from her room in the Queen’s palace, her heart heavy with both anger and helplessness. It had been three days since she had been taken from the Taylor Mansion, and seven days since her world was turned upside down by the kidnapping. They had made it clear that she would remain here until she gave birth, and after that, her newborns would be sent to Nicholas. As for Anne, she was destined to spend the rest of her life trapped in this palace, far from the people she loved.
