For reasons that, shockingly, weren't weird to me, I began to try to hear their conversation. It was a big waste of time. Just like everything I had done today, it was futile. Though George was just next to me, there wasn't a damn way I could hear anything beside what George said.

Her fingers hovered over her phone, heart racing as she typed out a message to Jake. Sophia: Hey, we need to talk. "Shit," she muttered, realizing how ominous that sounded. Her thumbs flew across the screen. Sophia: Shit, that sounded really bad, it’s not about anything bad. Jake's reply came almost instantly. Jake: What's up, sunshine? Everything okay? Sophia chewed her lip, struggling to find the right words. Sophia: I think I need to reconsider my limits. Just until the niggle in my mind calms down.

As she passed the threshold, she heard her mom Ebele Johnson scolding her kids “You successfully hacked into someone's private chat and exposed her secret affairs?” She scolded. “We're sorry, grandma, she's a bad woman. She's also mean” Nathan replied, gazing down and fondling with his fingers. “Fine. You are sorry but her engagement has been called off. She'd been with this guy a few years already” Ebele Johnson cautioned. The two boys didn't say anything else. They simply bowed their heads showing total remorse for their deed. They saw their mummy's diary and saw where she wrote her name.
