The dark object tumbled out and slid across the floor. Clutching her chest, Adriana looked down. On the floor lay an extremely lifelike black cat figurine. Its black fur looked almost real, sharp fangs bared, eyes wide and glaring, its expression fierce and unsettling. "Childish!" Adriana picked it up and turned it over for inspection. Sure enough, it was just a small decorative figurine. Since when had Francesco developed such terrible taste? She pondered for a moment, then opened her browser and searched for the symbolic meaning of black cats.
