Most of the hieroglyphs had faded, only one remained untouched, a scarab beneath a rising sun.
Maritza's heartbeat quickened. "The House of Khepri..."
Professor Hassan looked at her. "You recognize it?"
She nodded. "I've seen it everywhere. The ring. The tablet. And from the scroll. It's always the same symbol."
