When I glance up and I see Dimitri watching me with a gloomy expression. What is he gloomy about? He is the one whom bit my head off earlier and was rude. Scuffing, I turn my head facing the direction I needed to go. After a fifteen-minute walk to the gazebo, I look at the book and read the title. Supernatural Creatures & Healing I smile mentally thanking Aphrodite for this book. She knew I would need to know this if I was to go to my dream college. This Queen is a blessing, and I will forever be grateful for her.

AVA’S POV After the grand walk-in of those men in tailored suits with their leader, Vincenzo, who had me on chokehold, not because of his handsomeness, but because of the aura emitting from him, everything changed. It screamed danger so much that ice slashed down my spine at any given chance. And his soulless eyes? It was everything I wasn’t. Cold. Calm. Domineering. Dark and menacing. I almost melted under his scrutinizing gaze and the second he turned on his heels and disappeared down the hallway, I was finally able to breathe again.

Then, to the right, and at the end of a long row of books, one book jutted out from the shelf. I pulled it out. It didn’t have a name. It was a leather-bound volume, and its cover had a skeletal hand clutching a wilting rose. I opened the book, skimming through the pages. My stomach turned at some of the rituals inside. Selene was too arrogant, too vein, to resort to grave robbing, and there would be no need to stitch me together if her plan was to take over people’s bodies as she had before. The Binding.

Apophis opened his mouth and let our a screech, trying to blast the explosion, to no avail. The wave came and passed them, enveloping everything in a planet’s radius. The Original was silent at the sheer power he was facing and gave up. The explosion faded away and everything in the area was dead. Apophis was gone, and the Original was on the floor, back to his normal self, and almost dead. His orbs were scattered all around him, seven in total. She stood over him looking at him with pity. “So you’re the stronger one after all.” He sa

He took out the only book on the shelf and handed it to Andrius. Andrius picked it up and saw that it had an ancient aura. The title read: “Hades’ Axiom”. He flipped through the pages. The first right page was a diagram of blood vessels, and the left page was a corresponding passage from the axiom. “To achieve ultimate emptiness, maintain profound stillness. Observe all that exists as they rise, return to their roots after they grow and flourish...” As Andrius read, he could not help but be drawn by the contents. He sat down cross-legged and began cultivating according to the instructions in the book. It was an incredibly profound cultivation manual.

Then I pivot, seizing *his* timeline instead. --- **The Apostate's Fall** His scream is symphonic. "*What are you doing?!*" "You're not a judge. You're a fugitive." The static weaves through his essence, unraveling lies. I highly suggest reading book one before reading the sequel, but if you don't want to you can manage the second without doing so. The one big thing in the first book was Goddess Selene's curse.
