"When we left, I triggered the liquidation protocol. The servers were wiped. The physical infrastructure of the Abyss was flooded. The Apex Bloom was meant to be entirely erased from the earth to protect our transition to London." "I know," Lolita said. She stood up and stepped closer. The scent of her expensive perfume mixed with the dark, intoxicating aura of her absolute power. I wanted to drag her across the desk and bury myself in her, just to prove we were still alive. I lifted my head to see what happened to Apocalypse. To my surprise was there a big hole in the ceiling and lots of debris and rubble mixed with wooden beams. I got up and walked over to what was over of the ceiling. I heard some groans coming from under the debris. Apocalypse was barely alive and stuck under big stone pieces and wooden beams. “You have to do better and more than this to stop me, you pathetic woman.” She coughed and spitted a clot of blood.

He responds, “hurry.” Storm wastes no time shifting and snatching my clothes in her jaws and takes off, following our Dad’s scent into the forest that lies in front of us. I see lights in the distance and know I shouldn’t be far from them now. I skid to a stop, just as Dad’s hand reaches out and grabs me from going any further. I shift at once and pull on my t-shirt, I mind link him, “what’s happening now?” His voice is soft as he responds through our link, “Abi, stay calm, but Alpha Christov’s Beta is one of the men inside that house.”

There's a crowd around us, everyone from the party, plus my dad, Alpha Eligor and lots of his warriors all checking the scene.
