Falling for My Mafia Stepbrother

Falling for My Mafia Stepbrother

…… One word is too often profaned For me to profane it, One feeling too falsely distain'd For thee to distain it; One hope is too like despair For prudence to smother, And pity from thee more dear Than that from another. I can not give what men call love: But wilt thou accept not The worship the heart lifts above And the heavens reject not, And the desire of the moth for the star, Of the nigth for the morrow The devotion to something afar From the sphere of our sorrow. Beyond A Substitute

Beyond A Substitute

“Katherine, I appreciate your strength—your grace even when things are hard. You make me want to be better.” Katherine smiled, tears shimmering. “Kingsley, I appreciate your honesty and your willingness to fight for us, even when it feels impossible.” Carolina whispered to Devon, her voice trembling with new vulnerability. “Devon, I appreciate your kindness and the way you listen—even when it scares you. You make me feel safe.” Devon smiled, eyes warm. “Carolina, I appreciate your resilience. You’ve taught me what it means to love fiercely and forgive deeply.” As the sun began to dip, the facilitator led the group into a Closing Meditation. Eyes closed, breaths deepened. The sounds of nature

I truly enjoyed this novel, the characters were realistic and genuine. The way you incorporated the characters story and the way you used the dialogue with the growth of each character through the recovery ...️‍🩹 was amazing. Would like to read more from you author!

Enjoying the book so far. I’m still new to the book. I feel that they both got what they needed in the beginning. He was hurting and found a safe place in Katherine. She lost herself in him. I can’t wait to see what happens next

Return Of The Forsaken Madam

Return Of The Forsaken Madam

He asked. “I mean, if you had done someone a favor before, that person would do the right thing, which would teach you it's essential to show appreciation.” She pointed out. “Oh.” He sounded, comprehending and quickly apologized. “I am sorry, ma. Thanks for your generosity, ma.” “Your appreciation won’t add or decrease my value. It’s for your own benefits,” she expressed. “If you don’t appreciate a small favor, do you think you will get a bigger one?”

Inevitable

Inevitable

She asked and I smiled nervously as I glanced over to her clearing my throat before saying. "Are you sure you want to know, it's rather boring," "I don't think you have the ability to bore me, Hannah," she replied her words probably meaning a lot more to me than it did to her. "The line is actually from Sappho 16, it is a love poem, the genre for which Sappho is actually best known, it praises the beauty of the narrator's beloved, Anactoria and expresses the speaker's desire for her now that she is absent. It makes the case that the most beautiful thing in the world is whatever one desires," I explained looking over to her and she smiled.

Chains of Gratitude

Chains of Gratitude

I began, my voice flat, "I've never forgotten what you've done for me, your courage, your sacrifice, and the pain you went through to save me." "No amount of money or material things could ever repay you for that." My voice softened, "But that's all I can give you. I don't love you." "I can promise you safety, an easy life, but not the heart you want from me." Tears streamed down her face. "That's okay, Lucien. I can wait. I can try to make you love me. Time changes everything." She pulled the blanket back, revealing the jagged scars on her leg, a painful reminder of the night she saved me.

The Pianist's Stunning Violets

The Pianist's Stunning Violets

Then, leaves turned oranges and browns, your steps were a hum, That once a new sight became an inspiration to step the journey, Giving all of you the taste of the language, the world menu voice, With a bloomed voice fitted in your dear land to give the wisdom you need. My Dear Eight Royals, you were my kinship in a journey I never dreamed, But Heaven’s bestowed on me, a blessing, a gold that glittered on my heart, All of you were my inspiration to wake up placidly with a thankful heart, Your land became mine as you embraced me to step into your soil to help. What else I can say to the breeze that made me wonder how wide and vast, The sky happily waved for the welcome as I sent my gratefulnes

letters that staved

letters that staved

I’ve loved you in the way sunlight loves windows—full of grace, even when filtered. I didn’t write this for praise. I wrote it to name what I never want to forget: You saved me without asking for anything in return. You are the kindest story I’ve ever stepped into. And staying—here, beside you—is the most radical poem I’ve ever learned to recite. Yours in crooked shelves, Yours in every page, Yours in softness, Y._

Silenced Bride, Relentless Love

Silenced Bride, Relentless Love

He sighed. “I dislike how predictable I have become.” “You became predictable years ago.” “That feels unnecessary.” “It also feels accurate.” She stepped beside him and looked toward the lake. The world outside looked almost unreal. Beautiful. Still. Temporary. “I understand why people write poetry about snow.” He looked toward her. “That sentence concerns me.” “You think I cannot appreciate poetry?” “I think poetry is dangerous.” “Interesting philosophy.” “It leads to emotions.” She laughed softly. “Everything leads to emotions with you.” Unfortunately, that accusation had evidence.
