Bryan heard Aaron’s soft voice followed by a grumble. He walked towards the voice and came to the living room and saw Aaron and Amber playing chess. “Oh no!” Amber said as she facepalmed as she made a wrong move again and exposed her queen. Aaron couldn’t help but laugh at the stupid mistake of hers and covered his mouth as he cut her queen. Amber sighed as she had given up all hope, “let’s go for a new game all my good pieces are out.” “No, no, we have to play till checkmate.” Amber rolled her eyes, “of course you are going to say that since you are winning, can’t you give me a little bit of mercy?”

How poetic.” Aria rose to her feet, the gold in her eyes flaring. “You’re the one who turned him into this. You think I’ll let you win?” The Queen tilted her head, amused. “Win? My dear, I already have. You’re standing in my kingdom, breathing my shadows. Every second you stay here, your light fades. Even now, you feel it slipping, don’t you?”

I'm starting a new novel! I'm so excited to share with you guys the other novel I've been plotting lately. Queen Of Ace What is this novel all about? =If you haven't read my first novel, His Fragile Flame, I uploaded in this app, this is only "a part" of it but can be read as "stand-alone". This story was written in different character's perspective and her back story before His Fragile Flame. You don't have to read the first book to understand this novel, and I think it's better if you read this before that because HFF has spoilers.

Seeping the power from the pack, steeling your strength and virility!” Her voice grew stronger with every word, and the Warriors began to shuffle in my direction.

“Leave our realm.” The Queen laughed. “Child, I am the realm. You think Asharoth is your only enemy? He is a symptom. I am the cure.” She raised her hands. Magic surged. A duel began. Elizabeth called her golden flame. The Queen summoned shadows. Light clashed with dark, sending shockwaves through the chamber. Kieran and Jaxon held back summoned wraiths. Saelith fought off spectral wolves. “You cannot win!” Selaria cried. “Your power was borrowed!”

The white wooden arch with blossoms twisting up the trellises is a familiar sight and her heart lifted as she saw the youthful face of Lady Crystobelle standing there. “Calyx,” she called out, offering a brilliant smile. “I see you have made it home without delay.” Calyx grinned and rushed to embrace the Elvish queen of Elovaisus. “Your summons were pretty clear.” When she pulled back, she noticed the frown marring the queen's face and watched as the enchantingly beautiful lady surveyed her body as if she was doing a scan. I grinned. Sounded like my type of woman. Over the last couple months, I’d heard bits and pieces about the demon queen. All the incubi who trekked through the forest did was complain about how she’d stolen their king and made him weak. Turned him against them. Part of me wished I could’ve met this queen, but she’d died fighting. Like a true warrior.

Brandon lowered his head, pressing his lips against the warm skin behind Robin’s ear, his voice loud enough to echo in the private box: "The necklace is fifty million, Robin. But the queen wearing it is priceless." Up on the balcony, framed by diamonds and draped in emerald fire, Robin rested her hand over Brandon’s forearm, looking down at the ruined, terrified faces of Dane and Nicole below with a chilling, victorious smile.
