Other pack members saw him coming and moved out of the way. Archer sniffed the air, his ears twitching. Ariadne was close to the outside. Probably in the main foyer. Looking down, he could see the ruby shimmer of the mate string connecting them. He was close. He skidded around the corner and raced toward the main staircase. Looking down… There she was. Her dark hair cascaded down her back in the curls he loved. A dark red cloak with the Lycan’s insignia was wrapped around her slight frame.

She asked. “Oh, right. No Faye sight,” I said, looking to Serena, Maurice, and Caspian. “It’s a bit tricky to explain, but this archway is only visible to those with Faye blood or blessing.” I explained. Serena stepped closer, her eyes narrowing as she tried to see what I was seeing. “So, it’s like a magical barrier?” she asked. I was about to answer when I heard the portal shimmer behind me. The sound was like a gentle chime, resonating through the air. I turned around quickly, my heart skipping a beat.

I'm inside a different circle inside the magic array, that is not connected to the children but there is one line it's connected to, and when I looked ahead the line, there's another array ahead but that array is empty. After a few moments, the Witches circled the array and started chanting some words that I couldn't decipher, while the werewolves and vampires cut themselves and poured their blood into the array. The children then started shouting in agony as different colors of light slowly comes out of each of their bodies, and the light made its way to Cedric. To be continued.
