“Open it.” Nico reached under the console and withdrew a velvet-lined box. The same one that was on the screen. He set it on the table and flicked the clasp. Inside, a single chess piece lay on its side: a knight, carved from onyx. Beside it was a folded slip of card. He slid the card to Nero. Nero opened it with a thumb, eyes flicking once across the line. “‘Check,’” he read aloud, the word drained of surprise, of anything but cold interest. “Cute,” he added, turning the card around to see if there was anything on the back.

She closed her eyes, focusing on the pulsing energy from the pedestal. "Protect me!" she shouted, running toward the artifact. "Anna, wait!" Logan yelled, but it was too late. --- A Dangerous Revelation As Anna touched the artifact, visions flooded her mind—visions of the Reflection Game and its dark origins. She saw a council of ancient beings, their faces obscured, who had created the game as a test of courage and unity. Rayka and Sylvester stood at the edge of Marelda’s clearing, watching the horizon light up with a pulsing glow. But I just stood up I fell off my center of gravity and rolled down the stairs, scrambled to get up but fell into a large hole, the light was too dark I simply did not notice the hole. It was like a trap used by hunters to catch large beasts, with something like a wooden thorn inside. A small arm-length thing cut through my calf, and the pain almost made me black out. I took a breather, took the hair rope off my head and tied it to my leg, thinking of getting up and climbing out, but the touch under my hand was strange, like something like clothes, and a sticky feeling, and I just didn't notice the smell around me, and now there's a smell in the air - a disgusting stench.

He sighed. *sigh* And raised a hand to massage his temples. "A class 4 dark artifact…" He mumbled, and Director Bones asked about it. "What is it?" "The Mirror of Erised. Is an artifact that shows in its reflection the deepest desire that the person looking at has. Until here there would be no problems, but the mirror entrances the user and viewer to continue looking at its reflection and do nothing more. This mirror killed a lot of people by starvation simply by showing them their deepest desire being realised."

Aranjo jumped in surprise and turned around to see the origin of a very familiar voice.
