Morgana The air in my chamber shifts, the temperature plummeting as the shadows deepen unnaturally. The scent of brimstone lingers on the edges of my senses before I hear the slow, deliberate click of boot heels on the wooden floor. "Morgana, darling," Astaroth purrs, his voice as smooth and decadent as aged whiskey, laced with something far more potent and dangerous. "Did you miss me? You don’t visit, you don’t write, I’m feeling all blue at this terrible neglect."

Aria was about to give up when she heard Morgan call from the other side of the room. She looked over to where his voice came from and rounded various shelves of books. In his hand was a large brown book with gold leaf that had mostly faded. The book was torn at the binding and some pages were slipping loose. Morgan set it down on a nearby table and opened it. On the first page Aria could see was a drawing of a human with what looked like dragonfly wings. What is this? “A book about mystical creatures.” He turned the page, “I’ve never seen this before.”

Athur told me that Junior was the one who got jealous, who treated him like the enemy. “Listen to me.” Viktor grabs me by the shoulders giving me such a fright that my whole body start to shake and darkness closes in on me. This cannot be happening now. “Arthur is a very skilled sniper. He can shoot a grown man and his wife from miles away, through a window, while they are sitting at the dinner table, without any harm coming to the 13-year old girl joining them.

He eyed me and licked his lips like a hungry beast. My heart pounded so hard I thought he might hear it, but I didn’t cower. Not this time. There was fear, yes, but something stronger pushed it aside, and I returned his stare without flinching. “Don't you dare touch her” I heard Morgan’s loud voice from the other end. “If I find so much as a scratch on her after I’ve saved her once from you, I’ll bury you myself.” Xavier’s grin turned sharp. “I'd love to see you try”

I had to do everything to make her agree on this. She sighed. "Stop making my life so hard. You are suffocating me to death." Her words pierced through my heart. I had the urge to grab her hand and run away with her where nothing would hurt her. "Hi, Morgan. Can I borrow Arcane? Just for 10 minutes?" I had no answer to what she said and Morgan entered at that moment. He gave me that disgusted look. I deserve it. Well, I created a scene at his cafe last time. I am not sure I am not welcomed here.
