Ashina-The Awakening of the Luna
Then I began to write:
“Dear Boris,
There is so much I wish I could say plainly, but I can’t.
Give me one month. Just one.
Let me do what I must for my tribe. Let me right the wrongs that have been festering since before you and I even began.
At the end of it, I’ll come to you. With truth. With my decision.
Ashina”
I set the pen down with a quiet sigh and read the words over again, my heart pounding. It wasn’t enough not for the man I loved, not for the bond that tied us, but at least, it was something.
A promise, or a plea, or even a piece of myself to send through the fire
