The menu was filled with quirky dish names and creative descriptions that made it even more enjoyable. "I'll have the 'Crazy Chicken Sandwich,' please," I said, laughing at the name. "And I'll have the 'Bonkers Burger'," Asher added with a grin. The waiter seemed to be enjoying our enthusiasm and smiled as he noted down our orders. "Great choices! I'll be right back with your drinks," he said, before disappearing into the kitchen. As we waited for our food, Asher leaned in closer, whispering conspiratorially, "You know, I found this café for you because its exclusively for crazy people like you."

“That café looks quiet—it’s Monday morning, so it shouldn’t be crowded. A good place to talk.” Ajax gave a brief nod, following her without question. They made their way to the café in his car, parked without issue, and stepped inside. The scent of roasted beans and faint vanilla greeted them as they entered. Sparse customers—mostly students or remote workers—glanced up instinctively when the pair walked in. A couple near the front even did a double take, whispering to each other after Gwyneth and Ajax passed.

Brian's POV The waiter arrived with the coffee I ordered as he served it in front of me. He left as I sipped my coffee waiting for Jasper. The cafe is in the far end of the town and I made a VIP reservation just for our meetings. I kicked against meeting in a club because anyone can see you. Clubs are no longer safe for important people like me. I waited patiently for him for sometime before I saw him making his way into the cafe through the rear glass. I stood up and moved to a less noticeable place and sat on the chair.

(Jonathan POV) The clang of the bell above the café door echoed in my ears as I stepped inside, the familiar aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the scent of pastries. As I scanned the room, the flickering light over the barista’s station caught my eye, momentarily drawing me into its mundane charm. But today, I was here for a different reason a reunion with a ghost from my past. I walked inside the cafe slowly and with calculated steps as I moved deeper inside. I looked around my eyes scanning over people and couples alike, I spotted a familiar face deep in the back.

A world where I wasn't defined by my lost wolf or my botched mating. A universe where anything was conceivable. As we rounded the corner, I saw the cafe Jade had mentioned. It was a little, run-down establishment with peeling paint and an unsteady neon sign. The windows were covered in posters for local bands and art exhibits, which obscured the view inside. "This is it?" I inquired, lifting an eyebrow. It appeared more like a health-code violation than a café. Zeke grinned and slung his arm over my shoulders. The weight of it was unusual, but not wholly unpleasant. "Do not judge a book by its cover, sweetie.

That just added up to my restlessness. The car stopped in front of a small but cozy cafe. The exterior was painted in plain khaki. On the foot of the brick wall were concrete boxes filled with green plants. On the top was glow in the dark neon green letters which formed the name of the cafe- Coffee and Arts. It was simple on the outside but once you step in you would want to stay forever. “Now I know why it wasn’t familiar. It’s a cafe for average people.” Her words were perfectly crafted with consonants of humiliation and vowels of boast.

I get dressed, and step out, bracing myself for the day. He's already in the lobby when I get there, dark suit, hair perfectly styled. He's on his phone when I come out of the elevator, speaking low, and he finishes the call when he sees me coming. Looks at me for a moment. "There's a café two streets over," he says. "Before the meeting." Not would you like to get breakfast. Or are you hungry. Just a command, he's already decided. "Okay," I say. *** The café’s ambience is welcoming with dark wood, marble countertops, newspapers on wooden holders, and the smell of coffee and something baking. The waiter greets Lucien by name, and leads us to a table at a corner.

I don't know whether to like Lucien or punch him sometimes. Bro's really infuriating. He traumatized my poor Zoe! I do really hope he starts seeing her as less than a pawn and more of a human being because this is every much her revenge as it's his. Nice work author

I really love the dynamics in this book. Raises a lot of stakes and future tensions. Feels like an Enemy to lovers trope. And I really hope Lucien treats Zoe right. I also love the character Kane. Wonder if he’ll be the second love interest. I’m hoping for his own storyline. An interesting read

But when her message came through, a single line trembling with desperation, I found myself driving to the little café outside town, the kind of place where the air smelled faintly of burnt espresso. The café was nearly empty when I arrived. Only two tables were occupied, both by people too absorbed in their own miseries to notice mine. The lights were dim, uneven, buzzing like they resented having to stay on. Over the door, a lone security camera blinked red in slow, rhythmic flashes which gave me the creepiness that I was being watched.

Kent paused suddenly, “that’s the name of your bistro.” Syl and Cillian exchanged glances, holding back their amusement. Kent’s reaction to the small breakfast cafe before them was exactly the reaction they had imagined. It was the type that had a bell at the door, and every stranger that walked in had a ring to his arrival. Kent exhaled deeply, then took a first step. They took three stools in a row at the counter. The only other patrons were an elderly couple reading the paper at a table. The atmosphere was calm, the low-level clatter of plates and the sizzle of bacon coming from the open kitchen a soothing soundtrack.

Famous last words, right? The café was cozy and inviting, filled with the aroma of freshly baked goods and the murmur of conversation. I ordered a slice of chocolate cake and a latte, finding a secluded table near the window. As I savored my cake, I couldn't help but notice the group of men at the next table. They were older, their faces lined with cynicism and their eyes filled with a predatory glint. At first, they were just loud, their laughter boisterous and their conversation vulgar. But then, their attention shifted to me.
