"This should bring a lot more, it looks really expensive." "Yeah sis," Jason said eyeing it. "I should find a buyer for that by tomorrow." "Good... Wait, not tomorrow, the next. I have a date tomorrow and I'm gonna need this." "Wow, I never thought I'd see the day Amanda Walters went on a date." "Shut up Jonah."

(Director Juon) The Auction House environment were getting more excitable by the seconds. Everyone were eyeing to owned the Tactical Vest, after all it was sold as a bundled of 20 Vest for a single lot, and there is only 100 lot for sell. It was just the first lot that were on the sale, yet the price from 100 Credits has now rose to 2000 Credits for a single lot. The crowds that here to attend the event, not many of them that have the capacity to spent on everything, mostly the bid wars were happening between the First Floor attendee, and they were all going at it hard.

“But I have another offer for you.” He stood up and walked toward me slowly. The closer he got, the harder it became to breathe. He stopped just a foot away from me, towering over my smaller frame. I could smell his cologne–dark, expensive, and masculine. “Tonight there is an auction downstairs,” he continued. “Women who owe debts are being sold for temporary ownership. Some for a week, some for a month, some for longer. The highest bidder gets full rights over the girl’s body during that time.”

A Middle Eastern-looking man to my right raised it to seven. “Eight!” “Nine!” Terzo ended the bid. “Sold!” The auctioneer struck his gavel. I braced myself for the new horror. “How long is it gonna take?” “Until everyone has their item,” Terzo said. “What twisted, sick fuckers,” I muttered under my breath. “Our next item. Item number three. She’s a twenty-three-year-old, stands five seven—” “What the actual fuck?” My eyes widened in shock as I stared at the screen in utter horror.

I counter without hesitation. Matteo mutters, "Here we go." The spy tilts his head slightly, like he’s trying to figure me out. "Three point five," the front-row bidder says again, smirking. "Four million," I say, my voice low but carrying. The room goes silent for a beat. Even the auctioneer hesitates before repeating it. "Four million from Mr. Rossi." The front-row bidder’s mouth flattens. He leans back in his seat. "Going once… going twice… sold."

She rested on her knees and closed each one of their eyes while she touched her forehead, sternum, and both of her shoulders in a specific order. "She must be Catholic." A girl next to me noted. I hummed and nodded, watching as the girl finished with the last girl and two others dragged the rigid body to lie peacefully next to the others. I didn’t remember what the word Catholic meant but assumed it had to do with whatever the girl was doing. I promised myself that I would remember their faces. Remember their sacrifice. When we started to gather again, I gave one of my spears to Beef and the other to another strong woman- the dark curly haired one who fell in the water.

The entire room seemed to hold its breath, as if all the air had vanished; even the auctioneer paused before clearing his throat. “Ten million.” His voice cut cold as he shouted his offer. Silence followed. No one else dared speak. No one else made a move. My heart hammered painfully in my chest. The gavel struck the podium. “Sold! next stage of audition!” The realization crashed over me like a tidal wave, nearly causing my knees to give way. At first, the masked man seemed remarkably helpless as he got up to his feet. I had been holding my breath as he turned and slowly began walking towards the door. He moved slowly and deliberate.

Lisa’s hands trembled as she sifted through the ancient texts in the folder. The weight of what Mia had uncovered pressed down on her like a physical force. The information before her was a tangled web of botanical knowledge, ancient rituals, and dark secrets. The *Sopor Veritas* was not just rare—it was an artifact of a bygone era, used in ceremonies that involved mind control, trances, and, in some cases, death.

I'm pretty sure he currently sat in his place in heaven, smirking down at me, in the same way he always did whenever he knew he had someone on checkmate. Corny bastard. I ran my hand through my hair frustratedly, trying my hardest not to blow up at the world for playing a tough one with me. Dad one, Simon zero. "Okay fine. Since it's in the will, and he's already dead, there's no way we could change it. I might as well accept defeat. How much time does it say that I have?" I asked, resignation and acceptance of my defeat evident in my voice. At this, my mother, my sister Melvin, and my late father's barrister, all exhaled deeply, now finally able to let go of their tenseness.

Heath asked, "What is this?" "I've hacked into the auction's cameras. These are today's auction items being displayed on the big screen. I'm checking if Aurora is there," Eamon explained. As he spoke, the photos were replaced, and the big screen displayed the rules of the SALE event, starting at a hundred thousand, with customers able to go immediately to the VIP boxes upstairs to claim their purchased items. Then, sixteen LCD screens around the hall lit up simultaneously, each displaying a huge number from one to sixteen—today's auction items.
