After Time Travel I Became The Wicked Stepmother Novel Novels & Stories

Riona turned a page and read on. September 6th, 1950- Something Is Not Right. Maybe granny wasn't just a crazy old lady, I don't know what is happening but something is not right, I THINK I WENT BACK IN TIME. Is that even possible? One moment I was locked up in an underground cell of the Redwood pack after they captured me and then forced me to drink poison then the next thing I'm in my room right before everything went downhill for my pack, I don't know if this is real but I had to write this before I made a move. Is this what granny meant when she gave me this book? If she were alive I could ask her.

It was when I realized I, Claire Hanzel, an omega of the Crescent Glacier Pack in the Western Woods, had gone back in time. I had been reborn to the same world and there I met the same person all over again - my scum alpha mate - Ajax Larwoods. I could hear the familiar howling sound in the woods, coming and trying to trick me with its hands and voices. But I wasn't the same Claire as before. And whether it was about mates or fates - everything would be up to me from now on. This time, definitely, my fate would be different. -- End of Book 1 --

He followed moments later, his body going rigid, his groan deep and resonant as he filled me with his warmth. We lay there for a long time, the sheets tangled around us. He pulled me close, his arm draped over my waist. I closed my eyes, feeling the afterglow of the encounter, the peacefulness settling in. But the anonymous writer's words still echoed in my mind, a reminder of the fire that had been lit. I knew that I would never be the same, that the quiet, shy girl who had read the diary was gone. I was a woman who had discovered her own power, her own desires, against the backdrop of a rainy night in a strange apartment.

And I made sure they knew how much of a monster they had made me. Years ago, my stepmother and I argued over something I hardly remember. She followed me up the stairs to my room. She yelled, cursed, and wished for my death. To my horror, she accidentally slipped and tumbled down the staircase, resulting in her miscarriage. They convicted me of ten years in prison after that horrible incident. My father didn’t even give me a chance to plead my case. It was too late when I found out it was all planned so my stepmother could get rid of me and make her firstborn the sole heir of the Pack.

I can feel something seething out of my body the more Calhoun kisses me, then something strikes through my brain, and all the memories start piling themselves in my head. When my young mother would hit me and then cry along with me. We suffered because she could barely put food on the table. And how she did odd jobs so she could enroll me in preschool. My first wolf transformation was at age thirteen when I broke all the bones in my body and finally shifted into my wolf. No one was around to help me because Mom was away.

I found my voice, trembling as I spoke, "Elara… you are my step-grandmother, aren't you? The one they spoke of in hushed whispers, the one they feared?" Her laughter echoed through the chamber like a haunting melody. "Oh, my dear, you finally figured it out, did you? How quaint. Yes, I am that wicked step-grandmother you've heard tales of. I am the one who revels in darkness and feeds on the souls of the living." The pieces fell into place—the reason she had taken such delight in my fear, the twisted joy she derived from watching me suffer. My mind swirled with a maelstrom of emotions—fear, anger, and a deep sense of betrayal.

“Did you miss me?” Her auburn hair darkens. Her face shifts, aging slightly. And suddenly I’m staring at my stepmother—the woman who died when Alistair attacked our pack. Except she’s not dead. She’s very, very alive. And she’s a witch. “No,” I breathe, my legs going weak. “No, this can’t…” “I’ve been playing you all like puppets,” Kate, my stepmother, continues, her voice dripping with satisfaction. “Orchestrating every tragedy, every betrayal, every death.”

"Lukas, I'm officially informing you that I've already marked Cecilia. From this moment on, Cecilia is your mother. Watch your tone when you speak to her." "What did you say?" Lukas took a step forward in disbelief. He raised his voice when he spoke. "From now on, you'll call her Mom." After saying only that, Cain turned around and carried me to the car. Before getting inside, I glanced back at Lukas. He was still standing at the bottom of the staircase. He looked completely stunned. At that moment, every grievance from both my past and present life seemed to disappear completely. Lukas would never know that the Alpha position he desperately wanted had already stopped belonging to him the mo

Will Her father is obviously disappointed that we'll only be staying one night. I’m surprised when Stephanie’s response is to tell him that she left everything in order before she went to Sloane’s birthday party. She told me she has been acting as Luna, but I didn’t realize that her stepmother is doing nothing in the Luna capacity, except reaping the benefits. I’m quickly beginning to understand what Stephanie means about her stepmother and stepsister not earning the respect of the pack. How can any Luna expect her pack to respect her when she doesn’t even do her job?

“Listen, Mabel. Alec may have loved you once that night, but that was because he was drugged. But that alone is not enough. It's about who stayed with him, who shows up when it matters, and who’s willing to fight when the time comes.” I didn't have time for this. I turned to leave, then she spoke again. “There are a lot of stories about wicked stepmothers, those who make life terrible for the little ones. Don't worry, I will be a good stepmother to the children—Eloise, Damian, and Nathaniel.” A chill ran down my spine. I glanced at her again, and she wore the longest smirks. I refused to engage with her again, instead proceeded to my convoy and slipped inside the lead car.
