Audible Jobs Remote Reading Novels & Stories

"Dad, I'm fine." "You're not fine, you're pregnant and eating crackers for dinner." "I was going to cook later." "With what? There was nothing in that fridge when I arrived." He slides a plate toward me across the counter. "Eat." I eat. He sits across from me and pretends to read the newspaper he bought from the corner shop and I know he's not reading it because he hasn't turned a page in twenty minutes. I spend my days at the library applying for every remote position I can find. My back aches if I sit too long. Out of fourteen applications I get one response for a virtual assistant role but... unpaid.

I blinked, trying to center my attention and consciousness to the goal I have in mind— to get a job! "Uh— no, I was actually here to ask if the place is hiring for any staff." The woman tilted her head a little and gave me an overall look. To say that it was making me nervous was an understatement, so I looked around and started fidgeting with my fingers. "Are you someone who likes reading?" She asked, eyeing my fidgeting hands and tapping feet. "Oh! Yes, absolutely. I am very fond of books and reading, it's actually my fav–," I excitedly answered, looking back at her, however, what I saw was not what I was expecting to see.

“Enough to move out. Enough to breathe. I don’t want to depend on anyone.” “That’s fair.” “I was looking for extra work before everything got… complicated.” “What kind?” “Admin work. Remote assistant jobs. Maybe data entry. Anything flexible I can do in the evenings.” Adrian nodded immediately. “I can help with that.” I looked at him. “You can?” “Yeah. I know a few people who hire freelance admin support. Nothing huge, but decent pay. Remote. Flexible hours.” Hope sparked inside me again. “Are you serious?” “Completely. Send me your resume. I’ll look it over and forward it to a couple of contacts.”

Aurora puts her thumbs up and mouths yes to me. "Yes I'll take the job. Do I need experience?" "No, you have to meet Mr Diaz tomorrow to finalise everything, the address of the company is on the card. Bye, have a good day." He ends the call and I hug Aurora excitedly. "10,000 MONTHLY!?" "Shopping sprees weekly then?" I let go off her from the hug and sit down again smiling. "Sure! Well...I'll see if it's legit first. This seems too good to be true."
