"You're my daughter. And you should remember that you're not a martyr, okay? I'm not telling you to be selfish. But sometimes, it's okay to be." I want to be happy, but if it costs another's happiness...I don't think I deserve to rejoice at all... But Papa is right. I am no martyr. "Remember, aut inveniam viam aut faciam." Papa told me this a lot of times. It's a Latin quote. I shall either find a way, or make one. I couldn't sleep properly that night. Everything was being absorbed into my brain. What happens next? Will I be stuck in this chapter of my life? Or should I find a way?

But I couldn’t. I wanted to be closer to Sapph— even if it was through a girl I kidnapped. That’s why I was doing all of this. For Sapph.. Who am I kidding? Sum ambitiosus excors; im ' non faciens eam. Facio hoc propter me. Sicut ego semper aliquid pro alio quam me.. Ha! quam irrisorie. (Translation: I’m a selfish idiot; I’m not doing this for her. I’m doing this for me. Like I’d ever do anything for someone other than myself. Ha! How ironic.)

“Viktor…” “Viktor…” “inveniete docere desideria cordis eorum” (Latin phrase meaning: “each shall find what their desires”) Rio tries to search in the dark but cannot see a thing. “Quis est Ibi? (Who is there)?” “Quis es tu? (Who are you?)” “Exaudi me! (Answer me!)” He falls into a deep hole of space in the darkness. So fast as he lost consciousness.

“What do you want?” “VX2’s blueprint.” VX2 was Virtuex’s most successful innovation to date. VX2 was a combination of virtual simulation and telepresence surgery which allowed for countless operations to be conducted remotely. It was hailed as the invention of the century and rumour had it that Fabian Williams would be the next recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Fabian scoffed, finally looking at Liam in the eye. “It’s mine.” Liam returned with a steady gaze, vodka swirling in his glass, “I helped you build it.”

"Vindicta est mea, ira est mea, actio est mea, Quod redit ad me, repeto in illos qui mihi nocuerunt. Tu, Fortuna, arma mihi da, ut inimicos meos vincerem et malos ad malum traherem…” Suddenly, Olivia heard a creaking sound from behind her. She turned around, but there was no one there. She brushed it off as her imagination and continued reading. “Sicut seminis malus spargitur, itaque mala in eos qui mihi nocuerunt descendat, donec mea vindicta et ira satis sit."

Time for a little magic. “Invoco ignem venti aquam et terram duplicatam huius l***i incompletam me creare” I whispered out loud into the empty room. “Invoco ignem venti aquam et terram duplicatam huius l***i incompletam me creare” *I call on wind, fire, water, and earth let me create an incomplete duplicate of this book*

I said as I struck him in the face. “Let’s not forget that you started this!” I said to him. “You all have no problems making me the villain, now let’s try this again, shall we?” I said, placing my head on his forehead. "Abstergo mentis, velamen revelare Cerebrum penetrare, arcana effundere Mentem aperire, veritas absoluta Nulla secreta, tota cognitio" _Translation:_ "Purify the mind, reveal the veil

Snapping his finger, everything around him all went back into motion. A crow wearing an intricate golden necklace, swooped down to get the paper and flew on top of his shoulder. He grabbed the paper and read it. A very familiar phrase greeted him. "Capax Infiniti." —♦❇❇❇♦— A/N: "Quaecumque vera doce me" and "Capax Infiniti" are both Latin phrases/sentences. Here are their translations: ◾"Quaecumque vera doce me" — Teach me whatsoever is true. ◾"Capax Infiniti" — He who holds the infinite.

Aside from the bird, there's one very small that I don't think I've bothered to ask him about. What the hell! “Vincit qui se vincit,” he says as he twirls the tattoo in his forearm my way. “It means He conquers who conquers himself. Which means manage your urge to be arrogant, smug, cruel, or vindictive when you win.” I don’t know why he says this but I nod. “You could have said that without putting it in my face though.” “I don’t want to miss the chance of showing off,” he says laughing.
