Aurora’s POV As soon as I said that, I felt Uncle Kieran’s body freeze. He was in shock that I would say a thing like that, and then a flash of disbelief crossed his eyes. “You are joking, right?” He frowned. “Of course not, Alpha Kieran.” I chuckled, finally coming back to my senses. His hands on my body started to irk me, and so I pushed him away. “Why would I joke? After all, I own my body and I can let anyone touch me.” I said, a prideful expression on my face. I walked past him, ready to leave, but he caught me before I could get to the door.

"I'm fine" she repeated as Kira who was halfway with the water, withdrew with it.

I take the book, my eyes skimming the synopsis on the back cover. "It could be good," I say, my voice thoughtful. "But I think I might prefer something a bit more... cerebral."

My gaze darted to the mark on his neck and my heart hammered in my chest. That happened? It did. Are you— —your wolf? Yes. My name is— —Adea. I know. I’ve known you since you were a little girl.
