I didn't know how long I slept. I dreamed a strange dream. In the dream, I was a Luna — an Alpha's mate. My Alpha lavished me with gold and jewels, spending the pack's wealth recklessly just to see me smile. I watched the treasures pile up in my chambers and felt a creeping unease. This was the beginning of ruin. I couldn't stand by while my Alpha destroyed everything.

I ripped it off and read it. "Raven Valkhor slept with half the lacrosse team, that's why she doesn't know who the real father is. She's just pinning it on Dante because he has money." The urge to kill and drain blood heightened inside of me. She fell on the floor and I heard Skye calling out to me but I didn't oblige to him. This sudden hunger that had started while I was at the crescent pack house was consuming me.

She gripped his face roughly, her red irises ignited brown flames and she began channeling Adrien to get her strength back and heal herself. Before I could move, Ava was before Cassandra, ripping out her heart in a split second. And with one final sound from her lungs, Cassandra collapsed against the ground. Ava rose to confront him, but even before that, Marx knew who it was. He could not hear them, but the confrontation appeared heated. Her gaze remained distant, her posture guarded, as she extracted herself from the embrace and silently moved past Freya, resolute in her destination. Her footsteps were determined, a rhythm that carried her through the corridors and into her own room. The room felt foreign, the familiar space transformed into a battleground of emotions she was struggling to reconcile. As her eyes fell upon Jasmine, standing like an ethereal figure in her path, Ava's resolve stiffened. Behind Jasmine's silhouette emerged Alexander, yet his presence was a mere shadow compared to the tempest that raged within Ava.
