A dead what?” Steven’s head snapped up as he realized what had happened. He hadn't meant for that to slip out. “Look, forget I said anything. But there's no need to worry about me, Tony. I'm fine.” “If you say so.” Tony said before clapping Steven on his shoulder and heading to his office to ring up Steven's bill. He emerged five minutes later and tossed the card and receipt to Steven. Steven scanned it briefly and said,

Behind me, Xavier gently and discretely pulls my arm back, his hand reaching for the knife. Before Steve has time to understand what's happening, Xavier grabs the knife, and throws it with complete precision and accuracy into his skull. I see his body slowly react to what has just happened. His knees bow down to the ground, where his body falls down in a dead drop shortly after. Steve is lying on his back, with the knife sticking out the front. A pool of blood forming at his side. Stunned, my mouth falls open. I turn to Xavier impressed with what he's just done, only to see him collapse to the ground. I quickly reach for him, and help him to stand up.

Zach smiled like an idiot, “I’m the same way, Steven. I … just like dueling with you, and I’m not interested in dueling with anyone else because nothing’s as fun as when I duel with you.” The two of them looked at each other and then burst out laughing. “Idiots. Who’s actually the bigger idiot here? Me or you?” Zach said. Steven laughed again, “I think we’re both just as silly.” Zach nodded in agreement and then went to take another bite of his ice cream. But Steven suddenly snatched it away and started eating it without asking. Zach let Steven wipe his own mouth with a tissue. Zach sighed softly again. Zach suddenly wondered if, had these two been under the same commander, they might have m
