The first wave of attack came like lightning. Azul, the warrior mercenary that Evals Redart often employed, was incredibly strong. However, his true ability lay in his speed. And so… ~WHOOSH!~ In an instant, he closed the distance between himself and his target, before the latter could even notice. He pulled out a sword from its scabbard, and the blade glowed blue, revealing the Mana that was locked within. Azul’s sword was enchanted—and that pretty much applied to the rest of his armor.

Kenzo says. “Not like him. He’s a hybrid. He’s more like Nova. He has fire dragon but his primary DNA is elf,” Avani says. “Oh, that sucks. That means you’ll never have a dragon form. Dragons are the best,” Kenzo says. “Don’t start again,” Amne says, as we move in to land. Ancalagon stays higher, giving Avani room to land. As soon as he does, I see several people coming outside to greet us, but I only have eyes for my mate.

"We will meet again.." Sudden movement turned my clumsy stance. But Rivero had only nudged one limp arm skyward, traced an unmistakable rune smoking sky-blue against heavy clouds. "My goddess... hears all and sees...further than you ever shall." His labored voice carried a ringing finality my battered brain struggled to pierce. Then the rune flared purest white, its illumination searing my light-starved eyes. I threw one futile arm across my face, blinding radiance lending his words drum-like emphasis.

Nothing remotely close to the dark purple that I was seeing. A mist poured from the tattoo, slowly morphing into a solid, blue beam. It wriggled and squirmed, wrapping around her arm in a loose hold. As the light began to dwindle, dark blue scales replacing the dimming glow and a pair of dark eyes peering from the mist, a snake appeared before me. She hissed. “This is Azul.” Sungul proudly presented. “Pretty.” I cooed. Carefully extending my hand towards the reptile, I watched as Azul eyed it warily. The snake bumped her cold snout against my fingers, slimy tongue darting out to smell me.

Like a snake, my beauty distracted him from how deadly I truly was. Shaking my head, I whispered. “Silly, Alpha Nox. It’s not purple.” “It’s not? Then what is it?” He tilted his head curiously. A savage grin slashed its way across my face. “It’s lilac.”

CHAPTER 38 – DRAGONHEART DUEL The cavern walls shook harder as the heat surged forward. Rowan held her breath when the entrance darkened, the air turning sharp with cold fire. A figure stepped through the haze. Blue light curled around him, brushing the stone like frost burning in reverse. Azeriel. His eyes glowed the same blue that pulsed inside her chest. He studied her with a calm that felt colder than the flames around him. “You called me,” he said. “Or maybe you simply stopped running.”

She always reach out to me, whenever I'm sad and happy. "I met my mate." I turned my head down and dropped my hand because I was stressed. Everything stressed me. My mum was still placing her hand on my shoulder. I stood up, her hand slid down my arm. It was weird that she was not very happy, maybe because of the Prophecy tied to it. Seeing my mate was something she didn't want. The prophecy about the Luna for war. My Luna was the one who had been said, a decade ago, to come and end the Dojras war.

His anger showed in the form of his eyes flashing from blue to obsidian and back. "What my sister is trying to say," the pale, red-head intervened with a charming grin and raised hands—for the life of me, I couldn't see how the two were related, "for hers, your packs, and your own safety, its safer for her not to be near battle when she's not prepared for it. For the love of the Goddess, I can see the fear in her eyes," he turned his gentle smile on me with an exuberant wave, "hi, I'm Sylvain. Tania is my mate."

The air around him swirled with danger and all traces of cheerfulness fled. “I – I am the future Luna of this pack. Who are you, a mere Beta, to put – to put your hands on me!” I admired Avalon’s courage then. The fact that she managed to speak despite the silence that descended around us from Aristo’s anger made her seem brave; foolishly brave.

I yelled out, although it was my telepathy that was communicating with him. “Never!” Arion released a roar, that I was fairly sure would draw the attention of humans. “If I can’t be King, no one will!” He managed to break free of my hold on him. He used my Dragon as a springboard, as he flipped around and kicked off of me. Momentarily I lost my concentration, which caused me to lose control of my form in the air. Seeing that he was diving toward the building where Azura was, I didn’t hesitate to go after him.
