Cameron smiled nudging towards the injury on Carson's arm that was slowly healing itself but the ripped pieces of his clothes and the blood on them still hinted at what had happened. "I can just tell her its the Blackmoon warriors blood." Carson replied with a shrug. "Let's head back." I said and they nodded in approval. We got into another car and our warrior drove back to the pack with the rest of our pack vehicles in tow. Not long after, we pulled up at the entrance of our mansion.

I could see the struggle behind her eyes. “Keep her,” I said coldly. “Chain her. Starve her. Kill her, for all I care. She doesn’t matter to me. Daphne can rot in your tower as long as I walk freely.” Her lips parted, as if to call my bluff, but she hesitated. I turned without another word focusing on the second reason I decided to return here. I needed blood. I walked through the hallways until I reached the blood bank. The heavy metal door creaked as I shoved it open, the stale chill of preserved blood hitting me immediately.

Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock. "C'mon!" I shouted, desperation clutching me. It was not helping. "Give her your blood." Remy suggested, catching at straws. Though it wasn't such a bad idea. Not at all. Blood was essential for vampires and if anything could bring her back to life it was the hot red liquid. Without further ado, I cut my wrist with my claw and pressed the bleeding wound on her cold lips.

"If it weren't for you, Rachel’s family would've been so happy!" A tide of relatives broke into sobs. "I'll give you the money back. We don't need you to pay for the funeral. You know why I didn't call the police?" He stepped toward me, advancing like a hunter. "Because I want you dead." He swung a knife toward my head. I grabbed Freddie's arm and begged, "It really wasn't me. If you've got the wrong person, then you'll get your hands dirty for nothing!"
