Jennifer's POV The journey to the church seemed so far. Lucy was at the wheel. My mother, ever dramatic but always sweet, sat beside me, clutching her handbag like a life preserver. Happy and Peculiar were in the backseat, whispering to each other like conspirators planning some mischievous prank, and I tried to focus on their chatter to keep my mind off the dread creeping up my spine.

Alea whined as if she didn't want to be separated from her mother. Audrey knelt, aligning herself with her little daughter. "Baby, listen to Mommy, you have to go with Uncle Nick. Mommy promises to catch up with you soon. There's a little business that Mommy needs to take care of first. You're a smart kid, right?" Alea's tears were already falling, so Audrey took her into her arms, rubbed her back, and reassured her once again. "Everything will be okay. You don't have to worry. You are Mommy's greatest little princess." She released her embrace and kissed Audrey all over her face.

No one would. “The car is here,” Mom said, snapping me out of my senses as our driver parked the car in front of us. “Let’s go.” I obliged. Like our position earlier, Mom and Dad were in the middle seat, while I’m on the back, sitting alone as I looked at the scenery unfolding in front of me as the car rode on our way back home. Both of them were silent, which is very unusual. They should have been scolding me right now. Is something wrong?

Something which I knew she would see as disregard. I looked away then hopped into the backseat on the car. Elijah sat in front. And mom was the last person to get in.

Logan threw his woollen scarf to the ground. "I can still change," I spoke humbly. My chest was growing warm for some reason. I went back and came out in a black dress. Clearly, I've grown out of proportion since I became a mother. Moreover, a stressed mother. My plumpiness spilt around the underarm tucks. I didn't mind it. Helps me flaunt my natural beauty. But I was wrong. Leah walked out, flaunting in a red dress. Her baby bump didn't seem as obvious in this. Or maybe she was wearing a compressor - which is harmful to the fetus.

"Becky wanted you to carry her, so I thought it'd be safer to sit with her behind," "I don't understand, are you being serious right now?" "Elena is right," Adam chimed in, his eyes on the road. "it's not safe for you to sit in the front seat with a child my dear. Becky wants you to carry her," I looked behind and Becky was already fast asleep. I nodded and entered the back seat of the car. Adam began to drive as soon as I entered, and completely ignored me the entire time.

I go down the stairs and I take the back exit instead of the front because I don't want her to be overwhelmed by the crowd there. I head to my car and I strap her in to Lukes car seat because their the same size. Then I get into the drivers seat, start the car and start the journey back home. “Lena, do you think your kids will like me?” Brie asks from her seat at the back.

I dumped the suitcases inside the trunk, then made my way to the front seat of the car. "Aren't you supposed to sit in the back, hon? I'm the one traveling, you know?" I laughed, glancing at her through the rearview mirror. "You know sitting at the back is going to be safer, right? And you don't want to forget what happened last time you tried to go back home. I don't want that happening again, mum. So you're going to sit in the back where you're safe." Raising her hands in surrender, she accepted, slipping into the backseat.

Because I was supposed to avoid things like that. That was so dangerous... “Annie? Is there a problem, dear?” My mom asked, looking at me in the rearview mirror, since I was sitting in the backseat. She had this habit of leaving me and my brothers in the back seat. Her call was like an awakening for me, and I came back to reality. “Sorry?” I babbled. "Are you well?" She asked again. “If you’re not feeling well, we can go back home, honey. Your doctor said things like this could happen. We better go back home…” She was already starting to put the car in reverse to go back, but I stopped her.

Mom said while she placed a reassuring arm around my shoulder patting my back little by little before she led me down to the car. It's going to be along day. I thought before taking my seat in tge middle of dad and Mom... TBC
