WILLOW I have been having nightmares. Strange dreams where I’m being haunted. In my dreams, I am always running away from some faceless dark force and every single time, I end up underground, in a dark room, akin to a basement. Creepy as hell. Having these dreams have been sucking the strength out of my bones. They’ve definitely been a distraction, especially with all the exams I have to prep for.

It was as if the sleeping pills and the humiliating livestream had never happened. "No. I slept great." I looked at her reflection in the mirror. My voice was completely flat. Jessica seemed relieved. She leaned forward and planted a kiss on my cheek. "The replacement suit is already on its way from Paragonia. It's the one you looked at a little longer than the others. "Tomorrow, be a good groom and marry me. Don't throw a tantrum over someone who doesn't matter, okay?"

The world seemed to freeze for a moment. Raymond opened his mouth to speak, but he suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood instead. "Mom is… dead? "H-How could that be? Stop joking around, Melanie! No more chocolate caramel popcorn for you before bed, she thought as she slowly sat up.

I hung up at once. Then I turned to my secretary, my voice calm. “Terminate every partnership with Pierce Group. Once the capital withdrawal is complete, redirect all funds to Langford Group.” The office fell quiet again. I turned back. Miles was still sitting on the sofa with his head down, fiddling over and over with the bandage I had just wrapped. I sighed. “How about I teach you a game?” Miles looked up. A thin mist clung to his eyes as he stared at me in confusion.

Badar said “Badar you can’t call yourself horrible just because you felt jealous of John, it’s normal to feel that” Badar shakes his head “I’m not talking about that. Did you know that I used to get nightmares in which I would hear people screaming? I used to think that it was from a memory of the day mom died, well imprisoned. They went away when I met you, but when I thought you had died they returned again. Now I think they are the screams of people whose families I have hurt. I have done so many horrible and unforgiving things that even thou you have returned, the screams still won’t go away” Badar said as a single tear fell from his eye.
