My Soulmate From Korea

My Soulmate From Korea

"I almost thought I was seeing things" "Yeah, you gave me quite a scare" agreed Diya clutching her chest. My eyes drifted off to Jimin who stood behind dad watching our little conversation. I heaved a sigh seeing that he was okay. How did he reach the living room? He caught my gaze and raised his eyebrows pointing towards dad. I mouthed 'appa' to him to which his mouth formed 'o' and nodded. [Appa: Dad (Korean Informal)] "I'm hungry" whined dad like a kid to my mom. "What's for breakfast, dear?"

Good Girl in Action

Good Girl in Action

“Watashitachiha warukunai.” “Ulineun joh-eun salamdeul-ibnida.” “Eimaste filoi sou.” Wagner spoke in a dialect I don’t understand. “What are you saying?” I asked. “I said that we are not bad in Japanese, we are good people in Korean, and we are friends in Greek.” My eyes widened while I covered my mouth in amazement. “Jinjja? Debak!” I said a few words in Korean as a result of watching Korean dramas.

Alright. I have to say this. That twist got me. I thought the mirror reflection scene was just a plain old-used scenario, but I was surprised (in a good way) that Vad became a totally different person (gender). I find the POV funny. This book is well written and has an interesting opening chapter.

What should I say about this story? It's just awesome. It got a good plot and appears promising. Author has done an awesome job in depicting the emotions portrayed by the characters n fantasy world build up. I usually don't read fantasy genre, but this one caught my eyes. Kudos to the author .........

, Dae replies whilst wiping away the water droplets adoring his face. " But you look like a South Korean.", She says looking at Dae. " I am half Korean. But I don't really know Korean language as I was brought up in Thailand.", Dae manages to reply, finding words difficultly. " oh..you guys are on a tour trip ?", the old man asks. " You are friends?", his wife asks simultaneously. Dae nods to both the questions "Hmm..yeah." " Where are you guys now heading to ?", the man asks curiously.

I was seriously going to stop reading this book as it is a bit expensive and the story was deviating from the central plot. But today I unlocked a chapter again and I am totally happy after reading it. And I found the author cut out some irrelevant Oakphet portions and added new content. Good work👍

The Tale of Kira and Saga

The Tale of Kira and Saga

he said again, still speaking in Korean to her. Kira scoffed at what her father said, crossing her arms over her chest. She was debating if she should answer him with English just to annoy him but then decided not to as she replied in Korean. "No when they're up to something." "Who are you expecting, Kira?" His father ignore her rude remarks, he look satisfied when she replied in Korean. "Does it have anything to do with a certain waiter?" "Why are you here, appa?" Kira said completely ignoring his questions.

I ask with a smile. "There's no clear rule on the identities being a certain language. It just happens that Latin is used often. But other languages, English, Italian, and Arabic. There are also languages, like Bengali, Malayalam, and Hindi from India, and Cantonese and Hakka from China, are sometimes used too," answers Machiv, "Keito's is in English too." "Really?" I ask, and Keito nods silently, "What's yours?" "Safe Stun," says Keito, "A very mild name, I suppose."

THE EX-WIFE HE COULDN'T RESIST

THE EX-WIFE HE COULDN'T RESIST

It was just beautiful to watch him genuinely ask a woman to forgive him when he could just walk out on me or tell me not to stand by the sidewalk again. He must have noticed that I was staring because he too paused and cocked his head lower as if to check if I was following. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked, waving his thumb in my face. "Do you speak English? Or Korea?" He didn't wait for my reply, well, I wasn't ready to reply. But the next words made me even more fascinated. "괜찮으세요 (gwaenchanh-euseyo)" This was the first time I was hearing a Korean speak their tongue. It was so clear and fascinating. I never thought listening to another language other than English would be intriguing.

Seducing Mr. Werewolf

Seducing Mr. Werewolf

I said handing him a spoon. "Kumawo umma" he said in a funny voice. He was trying to speak Korea. He meant "thanks mom". When I was working in my previous workplace I usually close early so we spend our idle times watching k dramas. "I think you're getting addicted to too much k dramas hun, you should stop watching them for now" I said trying so hard not to choke on the food I was eating. With a mouth full of food he answered again in a funny Korea: "Aniyo".

Nightide

Nightide

Hello to my readers. I wanted to leave a short message here. Since Nightide takes place in South Korea, I will be using some of the Korean honorifics, but not all of them. Here is the list of what I will use. Oppa-- means "older brother" and is used by younger females towards older male friends or siblings. Hyung--means "older brother" and is used by young males towards older male friends or siblings. Unnie--means "older sister" and is used by younger females towards older female friends or siblings.

"No. She is a special case." "Then, Young Miss. Let me asked you something." He approached her and start talking in Hangugeo or the official language in South Korean Language with loud voice. "[You must be one of my fans.]" Cecilia gasped and replying in the same language, "[So, you are really Han Ki Jung! How come you end up in this place?]"
