Don Romero walked into the ward, every thud of his leather soles against the hospital floor feeling like a sledgehammer against Fabio's heart.
He approached Fabio and looked down at his Capo, who used to be his most loyal dog.
"You seem to be full of it, Capo Lopez," Don said in a calm, frightening voice. Yet, he was so furious that it sent chills straight down everybody's spines.
"Weren't you talking big words earlier, swearing that you'd cut off my flesh and feed it to the dogs?"
Fabio immediately fell to the floor on his knees, trembling uncontrollably.
