I glanced over to my father, the Alpha of the Blazing Wolves, who was walking beside me further into the middle of the woods where wolves went for only one purpose – to train with fire.
“Yes, you can, son. You’re a Bane, and tell me, what does that mean again?” He asked as his fierce jet black eyes pierced into mine.
“To- to burn, father. Our name means to burn.” I told him nervously.
He smiled. Barely. A curve of the lips was already considered a smile for Helios Bane, who was quite literally named after the Greek god of the sun. Though besides the warmth it gave, my father didn’t necessarily have any other resemblance with the sun.
