What… What do you want with me?”

It was matte black with subtle silver detailing—elegant. “For you,” he said, offering it with a small smile. Noah hesitated before taking it. The material was smooth beneath his fingertips, cool and unfamiliar. It concealed the upper half of his face—just enough to render him unrecognizable.

His robes were dark red, almost black beneath the silver light, and the mask covering his face had no mouth, only two narrow openings where pale eyes watched me without warmth. “You understand why you have been called here?” “Yes.” “You are certain you can handle Dax Blackthorne when he returns?” I raised my head. “I know him better than anyone in this room.” My mother shifted slightly beside me, but I ignored her.

Following all the lines of his body up from his hand makes it obvious how lean his waist is compared to the broadness of his shoulders, but it only adds to the dangerous look he gives off. The charity event requires masks, and when Brixton pulls out his, it's an intricate black metal design resembling half of a wolf’s face, as if the other half has been torn off, with teeth bared that look as sharp as I imagine they are when he shifts… if he shifts.

The familiar presence again, filled Lex, as the huge framed man emerged from the shadows, with a bright red rose in one hand. “Lord,” Gbenga jumped into a slight bow. “Lexington, I hope you had nobody tracking you, if you did, better expect them and their entire family stuffed with foam before the next full moon.” the masked man's voice was soft, yet stern. He moved closer to Lex, towering over him, stared into his eyes and sighed before walking past the two men to sit on a high-positioned chair in the far end of the room, between the light and darkened area.

Frederick walked into the room to see a masked man clad in a long black robe sitting next to Selina. Although this man had his hood over his head and a mask concealing his features, his aura was full of vitality - the joy of youth. In the man's hands was a small bowl filled with herbs and a tiny pestle which the man's hands constantly manipulated to grind the unrecognisable herbs in the bowl.

Does he know something that I don't? I thought to myself. He turned and looked at Sinister. The look they gave each other made me cringe. I heard the bell for th
