CHAPTER FIVE He moved towards her,and bethany begin to back away from him,she looked around that's when she realized what made the Salvador's run. She knew this guard from the orphanage, she just hoped he doesn't recognize her. "Who are you and what are you doing here?."He asked her. "I don't know."I said ,I could see him looking around if anyone was near. "Well, well what do we do with you now.?"he said slowly.

"These were taken from a high vantage point." "I climbed a few trees to avoid being seen." "Your commitment is impressive." "Thanks, sir." He points to a photo where Dale is shaking hands with another man. "I'm not sure who that is yet, but there's a tattoo on his hand. A 'M' crossed out. I believe Dale works for him, and they're after whatever secret Hera knows." My blood turns cold as I look at the tattoo. "That can't be right," I murmur. It must be a mistake. It can't be him."

(LANA’S POV) There was a moment of pure silence passing through the atmosphere as the boys simply stared at me. The butler narrowed his eyes at me and at them, he could very easily sense that there was some sort of strange thing going around. Then as if snapping out of his thoughts at once, Atlas stood up and walked towards me. Each step he took made my heart beat faster as I struggled to maintain holding his gaze. He was dressed only in shorts and his well framed physique was very obvious in the daylight.

His presence was both calming and awe-inspiring, a reminder of his omnipotence. Without hesitation, every soul in the afterlife bowed in reverence, including Alingat and me. Our foreheads touched the ground, acknowledging the majesty of Bathala. The air was filled with the whispers of the souls, their soft murmurs of respect and adoration. Bathala's gaze swept across the lake, his eyes piercing the veil between the worlds. He saw all, knew all, and his wisdom was beyond mortal comprehension. Atma was busy thinking about Bara's words while his best friend was busy playing with his cell phone. He scrolls through every post that crosses his Hastagram home page. His fingers stopped on a post showing a woman playing with two babies. “Isn't this Dean? Eh, but no, it's like... . “ Bara paused his words and looked at the picture on his cellphone. "This is Clarita, right?" he said, looking at Atma, who was also looking at him.

Ah yes, Peter. Darkous counted Atlas’ next attack, catching his un-coordinated brother with an abrupt slice to the upper chest. Although not deep enough to cause serious harm, now that would be too easy. Plus a lot less enjoyable for Darkous. Atlas stumbled back, shocked by the sudden pain that erupted through his body. Blood began to slither from the wound in Atlas’ chest, distracting him momentarily. This gave Darkous time to prepare for his signature baton attack, his favourite and most frequently used technique to render his opponent unconscious. Placing his katana carefully back into its holder, Darkous removed both of his batons from the inside of his black leather trench coat.

Me and Mel gave each other a concerned yet confused look and then looked back at Atlas, waiting for him to carry on. "I......I I've been offered a job in New York in one of the top companies in the world owned by Mr Richard Bailey" he said causing our eyes to widen in shock. Richard Bailey was a billionaire. He owned so many companies and getting a job at his place was something worth dying. Me and Mel squealed in happiness and hugged him in excitement. "OMG...OMG Congrats Atlas...I'm so happy for you" I said with happiness and kissed his cheek with full force making him show his cute dimples. "Congrats Atlas....seriously this is amazing news" Mel said.

They knew those words were parting words. “Please, do not trouble yourselves. The gods singled me out for this mission, and not you. I am certain that there are disciples ahead, chosen by the gods, to assist me. Your destiny lies with you. Goodbye till we meet again. May the gods be with you till we meet to part no more.” He took up a bladder of water, stared at them one last time, and strutted off, as the men stared at him in bewilderment.

I immediately saved her number. Me: yeah sure. unknown: 9th XXX drive. I looked at the weather app on my phone to check if it was too cold to go, we were smack dab in the middle of October and if it was too cold then sorry. It was 56 degrees outside, I guess it wasn't too cold. Me: kk.
