Bound in iron chains at his feet was a man one of the senior fortress quartermasters, a Lykan named Bram. Two guards stood nearby, their spears held at the ready, their faces pale with pure terror.

Hattie casually tossed aside one of Patience's proposals. "I've seen enough. Clear out," she said, her voice laced with contempt. "And don't delude yourself about returning here—this isn't a recycling center for your failures." The team's respect for Patience deepened at Hattie's foolishness. "Don't worry. I won't be back," Patience replied coolly, her Alpha aura sharpening. "As for you, you're better suited for a recycling center."
