From the look on his face to how smooth his body was without any scars, hah! He was nothing. But just as he finished thinking that while staring at Zave with a mocking gaze, as his eyeballs slowly dropped from Zave's face -wanting to assess this young man's appearance- a hard blow suddenly hit his jaw. Zave immediately punched the right side of the man's face until Raphael staggered far back.

I looked at myself in the mirror again and I did not recognize the person looking back at me. Raphael was attacked. He was in the hospital. He was stable but he was not safe. I thought about Davis. I thought about the explicit threats Davis had made to me. I remembered the exact things he had said about my brother being entirely alone in that country and how easy it would be for something terrible to happen to him. I thought about Raphael's voice on the phone the other night. I remembered the way he had been hiding something from me. I remembered the way he had completely refused to tell me what was really going on in his life.

Even when I went to the states, our friendship never died and so we continued when I came back. * * * * * ' Give me a bottle of Hennessy.' I said to the bar boy. ' Raph, what do you care for?' I asked Ralph who was busy staring at his camera. Raphael loved photography and drawing a lot. Even though he is a businessman just like me, he still makes out time to take pictures of almost everything around him and also draw. ' What are you staring at?' I added a little bit louder and watched him flinch.
