Beach Book Reads Novels & Stories

That was her job. Around her, the beach was alive with people who had come to relax. A family was setting up a large umbrella nearby. A couple walked hand in hand along the water's edge. A group of teenagers laughed and splashed in the waves. A woman lay on a towel, reading a book, her face tilted toward the sun. Many people sure don't have more important work here. She thought as she observed her surrounding. Celeste returned her focus to her tablet. Column A. Column B. Numbers.

"I remember the voice..." "But I can't remember the face." The White Book floated between them. Golden words slowly appeared across its pages. The face was erased... ...to protect the story. The First Reader lowered his head. "So the sacrifice reached even that far." The doorway leading to the Silent Shore widened. The white mist slowly cleared. For the first time... they could see what lay beyond. An endless beach stretched beneath a pale sky. The sea was perfectly still. No waves. No wind. Thousands of abandoned books rested upon the silent sand.

I looked around on the deserted beach. It was a sun drenched angelic beach...the sunlight glittering on every grain of sand, the beach idyllic, white and fresh. This beach had only magnificent shells resting on its pillow like, floor.The sea washed in, a small wave washed across the sand dissolving the remaining foot prints of Dylan. I didn't know what to do ,i closed my eyes and listened to the melody of the sea. I was suddenly interrupted by sudden pair of hand around my waist,picking me up like a little baby!

Neither pulled away. Lunch was simple, fresh fruit, bread, cheese, olives. They ate on the shaded lower deck, legs stretched out on the cushioned bench. He asked about the book she had been pretending to read for weeks. “It’s about a woman who leaves everything behind,” she said. “She walks into the sea and disappears.” He looked at her. “Does she come back?” Elena shrugged. “The book ends before we find out.” He smiled. “I hate books that do that.”

She removed the wrapper before she was looking at the familiar book in her hand, The Niapachad Island; in the perspective of The Origins. She was tracing her fingers on the front cover of the book before she was opening it. It was her book, why would her mother give her this? Then, Becca stopped as she was reading the name of the book. Lady Georgia Davis, the name that I shall carry forever. Cursive writing was her mother's. So, this is not my book then, Becca mused before she was looking at the familiar introduction of the island's history. But there was something that she never saw in the book before.

“Do you know how sexy you look reading that book?” Myla rolled her eyes. “Oh, really?” She said, giving him a playfully defiant look. “So you are sexualizing me for reading now?” “I saw that look in your eyes,” Beck whispered, reaching out to grab her book. “You are reading a dirty book, aren’t you?” Myla pulled it out of his reach, her face turning a deeper shade of pink. “No! It is a historical romance. It is very educational.” “Is it?” Beck drawled, his voice a low rumble.

Next week I will have another scan to check the baby’s growth. I wished with all my heart that everything would be fine. After a few minutes, I was leisurely walking down the streets, enjoying the warm sunlight and soft breeze. It felt refreshing. After walking for a while, I had no idea why I ended up slowing down in front of a bookstore. My gaze lingered on the display window for a moment, stopping at one specific book. “Little Bear Loves His Mama the Most.” The title of the book, with its light blue hardcover and beautiful illustrations, made me stare at it for a long time.

It was almost like a vacation from her current situation. When she felt the sun's heat starting to burn her skin, she decided to leave the beach and return to the cabin she was occupying. She quickly washed her feet before climbing into bed to continue reading the fiction novel she had bought outside the resort. She would go swimming later, when the hot weather subsided. She locked the door and opened the curtains to let the fresh breeze in. She continued reading comfortably until she didn't realize the time. She put the book aside and looked at her cellphone, which she hadn't turned on for a few days.

"Bri, he was about to fuck another woman. I caught him in the middle of the deed before our date last night. I dumped him on the spot. Can we drop this?
