He whines from pain but still doesn't release me. He then turns his head up and howls and then soon later, six more wolves appear around us. I know that this fight is really over now. I won't escape the seven wolves, especially with my wounded legs. So I stop struggling. Now, my fight is over. But if not now, I will still find a way to get out.

Bris's chest rose and fell with mine as I eyed them suspiciously. “The only woman to bring your claws out Wyatt? Mela says your Beast is a mere puppy for her. Is it true?” I narrowed my eyes at Bri who bit her lip and suppressed a smile. These two together were dangerous.

His speech and articulation had been very advanced for a four-year-old, but after pouting and frowning, he finally looked his age. “But running away won’t solve the problem. She’ll still tattle to your mom,” Ed said. He didn’t know who Rosemore was, but he followed the conversation. AJ smacked his forehead. “You’re right!” Reluctantly, he grabbed his bag. “What’s your name, mister?” AJ asked. Curious before they parted. “Just call me Beast.” Ed pointed to the scar on his face. AJ laughed. “You’re not as bad as the beast,” he said.

Yet others spoke of nightmares, of walls slick with blood, of a roar that froze their souls. When Zara’s name was called, she stepped into the center, cloak brushing the cracked marble. Samantha lowered her voice as I found she was hard controlling her eager to scream. “For what?” I asked. “I don’t know.” Samantha seemed to be baffled with my question, “I heard they said something like ‘victory’ or ‘battle’… but that’s not important, Val! The thing is that all three masters will be in presence on that celebration. And my old pack members will come!” Victory and battle. Indications of these two words were sufficient for speculating the theme of this celebration. I supposed that I could never blame Samantha for her ignorance of the war. When she was sharing the information with me, she did it out of innocence and with a good intention to cheer me up.
