The Rejected Quisling

The Rejected Quisling

It was the air I breathe, of myself, my destiny, and by the people I once regarded as my possession. The saddest thing about betrayal was it never comes from the enemies, but from those who were close enough to gain one’s trust and loyalty. I understood cheating, understood the betrayal Banyan has gone through, and I understood how hard it punched him in the face, knowing he had been used and lied to. He must have struggled to fight up to his might, to protect his beloved mate and precious friend. It was miserable to feel helpless and weak. I was stunned by the idea the Alpha Mare had in mind. It was doable and smart.

These Maddening Desires

These Maddening Desires

Cain pointed to it, "The person who had brought this painting to the castle was one of the person who had betrayed him." Rose felt a chill on her back she looked at Cain, who seemed by far the person who know the most about Dominic, "Is that why he hate betrayer?" "You do not understand," Cain stressed. "Young master Dominic had hated betrayer because he had gave his trust to people all around him, but they who had his trust had easily took it for granted and break it in front of him. It is a nightmare for him to place his trust on people, because all that had happened to him was for people to disappoint him."

Torn between the Alpha and Vampire Lord

Torn between the Alpha and Vampire Lord

My face scrunched up in confusion at the betrayal even as I coughed up blood and fell to the ground. “You bastard. What did you just do?” I whispered and my shock grew when instead of begging or refuting his actions, the doctor who was supposed to be my ally smiled. “How does it feel to be betrayed, Cassius?” Damien said with a victorious smile that made me growl at Mark. “You will pay for this, traitor. I swear that you will pay for betraying me.” Squatting in front of me, the doctor smiled and shook his head. “No, Cassius. I am finally going to be free of you. My time of being your puppet, doing dirty work over and over again for you is over. Damien and Amelia are going to live well, free

Just read the first chapter. My heart ached for poor Amelia ... I hope things will come out better for her soon. And Cassius!!! Though he aggravated me, I feel like he's the ML! If he is, I hope he is not too atrocious to her.

Betrayed Under The Moonlight

Betrayed Under The Moonlight

She made me a better version of myself and helped me understand life in a better way. I couldn't bear to see the tears in her eyes as I said those words to her. I was further broken when she realized I betrayed her with her best friend, Martha. But there was nothing I could do and I wished I had done thing's differently. Although we had dated for three years, our sexual relationship suffered severely. Daisy insisted on waiting for her mate and as much as it angered me, I agreed to it. I thought she would give up on keeping her virginity for her mate but her decision never wavered.

Falling For Him: I Want Him As My Child's Father

Falling For Him: I Want Him As My Child's Father

I laughed weakly through my tears. Is this what I’m worth? When I thought life was finally being fair to me when I thought, just once, I didn’t have to fight so hard, everything was taken away. I had been humiliated at work. Drugged. Used. Pregnant by a stranger I couldn’t remember. I survived that. I had married without love. Lived with guilt so heavy it made breathing difficult. I survived that too. But this? This betrayal carved something out of me. Bailey hadn’t just told the truth. She had performed it. Timed it. Weaponized it. She hadn’t come to save Clinton, she had come to destroy me.

Marriage by Betrayal

Marriage by Betrayal

"Grandma has passed away, and this necklace was made from her ashes. How could I not jump in after she threw this necklace into the water?" Meanwhile, Sarah tugged his hand pitifully. "Hunter, didn't Jerry say that her Grandma is doing well in the hospital?" Hunter's face grew even more stormy. "Audrey! That's your own grandmother you're cursing, for God's sake! How could you curse her like that just because you're jealous of Sarah! Retrieve the necklace and apologize to Sarah!" I felt my body freeze from his betrayal. I scrambled miserably to the poolside after retrieving the necklace from the bottom of the pool.

Luna's Return: My Alpha Regretted Rejecting Me

Luna's Return: My Alpha Regretted Rejecting Me

Maxie’s face was cold, “I wasn’t sure if I wanted to meet with you. We got nothing to talk about.” “WHAT?” Baron gasped in disbelief, widening his eyes as though this was the most ridiculous thing he had ever heard. “You fucking betrayed me, Maxie! You gave my account book to Damien and that fucking bitch Aurora! I trusted you with this and this is how you godman betrayed me!” He paced around the room anxiously like one trapped dog. “Why did you betray me? It makes no sense. We are on the same boat! You and me! We are a team! Did Damien and Aurora force you into this? They must do. It was only reasonable—”

Betrayal Behind the Scenes

Betrayal Behind the Scenes

Keanu raised his hand to strike Jarvey, but again, Jarvey’s words left him with no choice but to help, a turn of events that left Keanu reeling with surprise. “Karletta isn’t your sister, and that’s why both of you were used for your parents’ crimes in the past,” Jarvey added. Keanu took a deep breath, clenched his fists tightly, and punched the wooden door. “Alright, but you’ll pay for everything you just said to me.” “Promise me that no matter what happens, you’ll be on my side and Charlotte’s,” Jarvey said, extending his hand. Keanu grasped Jarvey’s hand and shook it, sealing a pact that couldn’t be broken. After that, Jarvey told Keanu to get ready to leave, and he had already asked a dr

Moving On from a Cheater

Moving On from a Cheater

The subordinate knelt down, trembling, and said, "I've identified the mole. He seems to be working for the Wiseman family." "You're a bunch of worthless trash! How could you let a mole slip in? How could you let a mole infiltrate our syndicate? Huh?!" "According to our investigation, the mole isn't a newcomer but a traitor who was bought off by the Wiseman family." The subordinate bowed his head. Betrayal was a huge taboo in their business. Demar, consumed by rage, fired his gun. The subordinate was so frightened he nearly wet himself. … The sound of gunshot startled the birds into flight.

The story was good but it stopped abruptly with lots of loose ends. It would have been nice for Kendra to be put in her place after Rachel’s return. We never got to find out the reaction of the Stein family after Renee’s scandal or to get to the climax which would have been Jason and Iris’s wedding

The plot of this novel is quite interesting! It's well written, minus grammar and spelling errors, at least you can read it without getting headache and nose bleed, I looked into how many chapters there are, it's quite a lot but I hope there would be less boring twist and turn in the story

My Stepbrother Is My Baby’s Daddy

My Stepbrother Is My Baby’s Daddy

The person I thought was my ally had betrayed me, leading me straight back into Bruno's clutches. As we approached the Mafia headquarters, I felt a sense of despair wash over me. I was trapped, with no escape in sight. Bruno's eyes gleamed with triumph as he took me from the traitor, his grip on my arm like a vice. "You should have stayed hidden, Veronica," he sneered, his voice dripping with malice. "Now, you'll never leave my side again." I struggled against his grasp, but it was no use. I was at his mercy, and I knew he had none. The traitor who had betrayed me stood by, a smug look on his face, as Bruno dragged me back into the depths of the Mafia's lair.

Man, tracking down 'Betrayal in the Bayou' was a whole journey for me. I ended up grabbing the ebook from Amazon's Kindle store—it was the most straightforward option, and my library didn't have it. Sometimes those regional mystery thrillers aren't in wide circulation. I also checked out Barnes & Noble's Nook store and Google Play Books, and it was available there too, usually around the same price point. The audiobook version is a different story. I found it on Audible, narrated by someone whose voice really fit the swampy, tense atmosphere. I think I saw it on Apple Books' audiobook section as well, but Audible's subscription made it cheaper for me at the time.

A friend of mine who's more into library apps than I am mentioned she eventually found the ebook on Hoopla, but not on Libby, which is weird since they often share catalogs. Might depend on your specific library system. If you're looking for a physical copy, the ebook is definitely the easier route unless you want to hunt for a used paperback online. The story itself—all that family drama and secrets in the Louisiana bayou—is the kind of thing that works really well in audio format during a long drive, feels almost like listening to a local ghost story.
