She followed closely behind him and the two disappeared into the forest. "Did you notice?" Weaver asked and Alex nodded. "Her brother is blind. That's probably why she thought it best to talk it out." Alex said and Weaver nodded. "Don't tell the others about the male being blind. It'll provoke some of the others to try and run him off." Alex said and Weaver nodded in understanding. "I'll take a group to start setting up markers upon our new territory." Wever said and Alex nodded wondering how someone who couldn't see had survived this long. He had help from his sister but he didn't seem to rely on her. . . .

The lady, one of the younger ones at the place, appeared blindfolded, but then, looking harder, Abednego saw the truth of the matter was that she had been crudely and haphazardly bandaged around the eyes. “I wondered when you’d visit me.” I looked around, unsure if she was speaking to me despite the eye contact. “Are you talking to me?” “No, to the other rudely staring woman,” she bit back. She left my face, then trailed her fingers on my face and removed some strands covering my face. It made me cringe so bad that I want to kick her but I don't want to get on her bad side as it is. I folded, coughing so hard my stomach cramped. Someone grabbed my face and I flinched violently, the world tilting as I was forced upright and the blindfold ripped off. Light burned my eyes and I winced, blinking hard through the blur. Everything doubled. My vision was shit without glasses—smears of shadows and color. But one thing stood out. A man. Massive. Buzzed hair. Covered in ink. Crouching low in front of me, studying me like I was meat on a slab. His fingers dug into my chin and tilted my head to the side.

Piter said firmly. Elder gave Piter a questioning look, the old man barely left the camp so his knowledge of the region's development was lagging behind. However, there was a different feeling every time Piter mentioned the blind wolf's name. "Can you give me a description of the blind woman, Piter!" pleaded Elder. Piter stared at the pack elder for a moment, then turned to the Alpha. Harlan nodded. Then Piter smoothly explained how the blind wolf had come to their pack. The Elder shook. She backed up against the door as she came in. Zipporah watched her adjust a tray of toast and bacon with a glass of juice on a low table by the fire place. Her wavy, ash hair twirled, giving her a better, pretty view of her fair skin and middle-aged, round face. But it was the blue-yellowish coating in her eyes that made Zipporah stiffen.
