Her eyes were now rimmed a dull red as a result of all the crying and they looked puffy too. Damien has definitely seen her at her worst so she wasn’t even bothered. She pulled the shirt over her head immediately engulfing her senses with Damien’s set. Damien smelled manly and like flowers at the same time, Lauren never could explain how. She brought the shirt to her nose and inhaled. She dropped the shirt thinking of how crazy she must have looked sniffing it. She threw herself onto the bed, exhaustion dragging her bones down but she was still unable to sleep. A few minutes later and she was still tossing and turning in bed.

Heath looks about at the carnage strewn all around him. Mangled bodies, severed limbs and gore are all that greets him. No survivors in sight. “Damn it!” He moves on but pause at the sight of the woman laying dead on the ground. With her curly, auburn hair and her slim build, she sort of reminds him of Kimmy. He thinks about her, knowing that she is safe back at home, even if she is made at him.

It was quiet, almost sacred, with sunlight streaming through the large windows and rows of books inviting me to lose myself in their worlds. I wandered through the aisles aimlessly until I stumbled across a section on business biographies. My fingers hovered over the spines until I spotted one that looked familiar: Against All Odds: The Rise of Evan Bennett. I pulled the book from the shelf, my heart racing. I hadn't known a biography about him existed. The cover featured a candid photo of Evan, his piercing eyes staring directly at the camera.

As we walked further with Christina talking while I was distracted. I smelled the sweetest scent, it was like nothing I have ever smelled before, it called to me, drew me towards it.
