The thought of new beginnings, unburdened by the darkness that had consumed me, filled me with both hope and trepidation. He pulls me in his arms, which he never did before, and I try to relax, but I couldn't because the only thing which is running inside my head I don't want to give in to it. And damn, it was the most beautiful gown I had ever seen. It was black, made of lace that was layered over silk. Merely looking at it, I could tell that it was going to cling to my features. The bodice was adorned with stones that glittered as they caught the light in the room and on the left side of the gown was a thigh high slit. There was only one word to best describe a dress like that. Exquisite. “Aww. Derrick…” I met his gaze, my heart filled with pure joy. “I love it so much. It’s beautiful.”
