The Mates of Monsters

The Mates of Monsters

I tighten my grip on David and ask, "Your proclamation—what's the big picture? Where do you see this going? I'm curious, Alpha Nicodra. Do you have any specific ideas regarding how exactly you're going to resurrect our culture?" He lifts his glass to me and says, "I'm happy to hear your interest. My ideas are truly rooted in our conformity to a way of life that was simply not built on the beings we are. Frankly, Brigette, we are not human. In all honesty, we're monsters—at least to them, at least in our physiology." "Monsters," I repeat, tasting the word on my tongue.

This is a very good book and can be part of my Recommended List. And for readers like me who like to read reviews first before deciding if they will read the book, this is NOT your TYPICAL werewolf story if you’re like me who loves reading them. BUT it’s very worthy tackling the true concept of MATE

What a delight! Well-written, this story is an expression of the authors maturity in writing and in story telling. Internal dialogue and conflict of our main is the whole story, the tone slightly heavy. Great feminist lead, who has her cake and eats it too! Also the Alpha is pretty great too.

THE HABITAT

THE HABITAT

Christian smiled at him and he smiled back, then their gazes went back directly to their class mayor who gathered them around for a meeting. "A monster appeared in the middle of Alex's and Jimmy's bathing session. Thankfully, Alex was able to carry with him the syringe that came from the turtle monster who we defeated and successfully acquired its power. However, I didn't know why the bees I sent weren't able to deliver their message to me if the monster weren't too far from our vicinity." Kent explained.

Beauty and the Mafia Beast

Beauty and the Mafia Beast

My stomach cramps, and I wince. The titles line up on the screen. Sinfully His—an age-gap, dad’s-best-friend romance, where she gets revenge on her cheating husband and also bag’s her dad’s older hot friend. The next is some werewolf thing about mates and rejection and shit I don’t understand. Marco’s choices already have me giggling. He did this on purpose. And then another catches me: The Mafia’s Pet. Enemies to lovers. Erotica. A laugh slips out. Too pointed. Too close to home.

Safe Between Monsters

Safe Between Monsters

"We'll be fine, stay in this room and lock the door. Don't open it for anyone except us." "I'm scared." "Good. That means you're smart." He kissed my forehead and it felt protective and possessive at the same time. "We'll be back soon and when we come back, Marcus Shaw won't be a problem anymore." I watched all three of them walk out. Kai cracked his knuckles. Luca's sweet face looked cold. Dante moved like a man going to war. I locked my door and sat on my bed with my knees pulled to my chest. I'd just set three wolves on Marcus and part of me hoped they destroyed him.

"Ah! C'mon boy! You don't need to be so formal. Just call me Uncle Brian. That'll do." "Ohh! Okay, Uncle Brian." "You sure got a nice apprentice Mike." "Well! Guess what? He's the youngest and was invited by Mister George personally." "Wait! What? Damn boy! Good! Good! Alright, everyone. Get seated." When everyone was seated, they finally left the airport. As they were traveling, Felix got to know that Brian was a bus driver who worked in Los Angeles. He was acquainted with Derek, the current Director of the show~ Ghost Busters.

CHASING MONSTERS

CHASING MONSTERS

Gideon made for the door fast, mumbling a prayer under his breath. Lucian followed, expression carved from ice. “You play with forces you don’t understand,” he said quietly. Mama Delphine smiled without looking at him. “And you think you do. Dat’s why it’s funny.” Jax lingered. He’d seen monsters, but this? This was worse. It was old. Older than the blood in his veins. He turned to leave and froze. He turned. Marie had moved. Her head turned toward him, eyes glowing faintly in the firelight, and for the first time, something that almost looked like a smile touched her lips.

My Monster

My Monster

His eyes are entirely pitch black, and he doesn’t look the slightest bit bothered even as Vanya chokes and sputters, her shaking fingers desperately trying to push his boot off. “I don’t hit women, Vanya. But I fight monsters and crush them because I can. And you…you’re just another breed of monster. The kind that is destined to die by my hands.” She coughs up blood, struggling to breathe. Her eyes are bigger than I’ve ever seen them, bulging in their sockets. She looks…terrified. Slowly, he moves his feet off her throat, and she chokes. I watch as he crouches in front of her, staring at her with a blank look on his face.

Okay so I won't lie, I was tempted to stop reading at one point. I felt it was going slower than I like, and I didn't understand why this super strong tribrid was the way he was. BOY WAS I IN FOR IT. I'm glad I didn't stop reading. That twist was.. WOW. Was NOT expecting it. I enjoyed this story!
Katrina Hofstadter
I loved this book and am looking forward to reading more from this author and the next book of this saga. The author doesn't leave an question unanswered or unnecessarily drag the story out. The ability to keep the continuity of the story from beginning to end, was spot on. A great read!
