Beginners Writing Prompts Novels & Stories

Seeing that the student hadn’t started writing, Sarah gently nudged her. “There’s a dessert shop called ‘Taste Avenue’. It’s my favorite. If you can’t think of anything else, why not set aside an hour to try it? You’ve lived through so much bitterness—shouldn’t you at least taste something sweet?” The student hesitated for a moment before finally writing ‘Taste Avenue’ in the first box. I'm surprised Jake isn't pestering me, one single time during class. It's the first time this week that my whole attention is settled on what we are being taught right now. We are talking about the basics of a novel, and we are asked to write a short novel to whichever theme we want.
