The CEO's Toxic Placeholder

The CEO's Toxic Placeholder

Checking each floor carefully. Second floor. Empty hallway. Quiet. Third floor. A narrow hallway. Worn carpet. Three doors. One at the end had a blue door. Exactly as Henry had described. We approached slowly. Carefully. Every instinct screaming that we were close. Jasper gestured for me to stay back. The guards moved forward. Professional. Controlled. One knocked firmly. "Police française. Ouvrez la porte." Silence. He knocked again. Louder. More insistent. Still nothing.

My Dismissive Fake-Love Marriage

My Dismissive Fake-Love Marriage

Jackson pulls around to the back of a nondescript building and find a parking space in the private lot. Shutting off the car, he turns to Monica. “Are you ready for a Paris adventure?” She points at the building in front of them, which is bland by any standard but particularly in Paris, considering there is no architecture beyond bricks and a door. The windows are frosted over, not allowing anyone to peek inside. “That’s an adventure?” Jackson

Helena cooed, flicking her finger over the raised number on her own key. Camille nodded at Helena's statement and replied, "Well, I'm in room number three. It should be the first one we come across." I counted the doors as we passed, noting the differences in each one. While one door was a deep maroon shade with golden etching, another was a blinding shade of white. Confusion flashed across my face as I looked at the number thirteen, made from a golden metal, as it sat on the door. The white door was equally strange, sitting on a light blue plaque, the number nineteen shined brightly. As we approached the third door, I felt a frown form on my face. Helena let out a delicate laugh that echoed

Amy
Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.
Therese Dahlqvist
The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

The Butcher - A Mafia romance

The Butcher - A Mafia romance

She gave no distinct reaction, like that was exactly what she’d gathered herself. “Let’s head back. Probably going to serve dinner soon.” 9 BASTIEN I went to Basilique Sainte-Clotilde, a church that had been standing since the seventeen hundreds. But I didn’t walk through the front door. Instead, I took the back entrance, all the way next to the Seine, and took the underground passage, past the homeless and the amateur drug dealers pushing low-grade products idiots were stupid enough or broke enough to buy.

Two Billionaires and A Bride

Two Billionaires and A Bride

She lifted the lid carefully. A ring of keys lay on the white batting. “Front door,” Trey said, touching one with his fingertip. “Garage and master for all the cars. This one opens the door to our flat in Paris—” “You have a flat in Paris!” she couldn’t help exclaiming. “We do. With an awesome view and a balcony. Remind Zane to speak French for you sometime. Trust me, it’s super-hot.” “I bet it is.” The leering grin she exchanged with Trey was all the more entertaining for the power it had to embarrass its subject.

Ki-woo smiled, heading out of the plain living room. “We need to talk.” Darius whispered from behind Astrid and she swallowed. She didn't know which one was more effective on her—the proximity between them, his breath over the back of her neck as he spoke, or the fact that he wanted to talk to her. Either way, she was extremely nervous. “Sure.” She nodded. He took her hand and led her up the glass steps that looked like they would break if stepped on with so much force. Down the hall on the first floor, he took her to the room behind the last door. She looked around the room and noticed that it had a large bed close to the wall, a small and organized desk right beside it and a large glass do

He let me think I won

He let me think I won

There were only two doors. One was closed. Dark. The other Light slipped out from underneath it. Adrian’s jaw tightened. “You’re not even hiding,” he murmured. Of course he wasn’t. Lucien Moreau didn’t hide. Even now. Even after everything. Adrian stepped forward, stopping right in front of the door. For a second, he just stood there. Listening. Nothing. No voices. No movement. Just silence. His hand lifted, then dropped again. He didn’t knock.

THE MOBSTER'S FAKE WIFE

THE MOBSTER'S FAKE WIFE

C28 – WRONG WITNESS, UNEXPECTED DESIRE. Paris – 1:03 AM Camille Dubois said goodbye to her coworkers with a smile, tying her coat up to her neck as she stepped out through the side door of the Le Doux Matin bakery. The warm aroma of sweet bread and vanilla cream still clung to her clothes—just as it clung to her blonde hair, loosely braided over her right shoulder. Her bag hung light at her side, with a package of croissants she planned to leave at the building's porter's lodge for the children who had nothing for breakfast.

The Day I Stopped Loving Him

The Day I Stopped Loving Him

"Marcus provides security... discreet, professional. We bring Colette here to Verlaine. And then we wait for Margaux to make her next move. Let her think she's still in control while we prepare." The plan settled between us, imperfect but necessary. I moved closer to him, resting my hand on his arm. His warmth bled through the fabric of his shirt, a reminder that we weren't alone in this fight. The Worn pieces watched silently from their forms, silent witnesses to our strategy session. Outside, the Paris night continued its indifferent rhythm—lovers strolling along the Seine, late-night cafés glowing warmly, the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the distance. None of them knew that a quiet war was b

Just started love how the story is going! Only hope she continues with a strong backbone determination and shoves his face to the ground and steps as she walks away! Will be disappointed if it goes like every other online story and she goes back to the scumbag!
LaTonya Veasley
Great story line but it’s over 200 chapters already. When is it ending? Only read completed books to NOT get intricately involved only to get disappointed because lots of authors are dragging story lines into hundreds of chapters yet those chapters are unfulfilling and by doing so, risking ratings.

HIS COLD DENIAL: Love After Divorce

HIS COLD DENIAL: Love After Divorce

The Silence He Left Behind Country: France City: Paris Alvara I woke up knowing something had changed. Not in the room. The room was exactly as it had been. Paris outside the window. The desk with the production sheets is still slightly displaced. The bouquet he had brought white and pale pink … in the vase on the side table. Everything is the same. Except me. I lay there for a moment. Looking at the ceiling. Last night had happened. It had been real. His voice.
