He sounded like he was begging me.
I stood up. "Leonard Burton, I don't love you anymore."
He raised his head and stared at me in shock, his gaze full of agony. "You really don't… love me anymore?"
I fell silent for a while and replied, "I used to love you deeply, but now, I love freedom and the world more."
He closed his eyes, tears streaming down his face.
