Belinda looked at her father. And a look of joy instantly appeared on her fair face. Suddenly, she seemed to have thought of something and immediately jumped up from the ground. "Lu.. Lucas!" Belinda turned to look at Lucas, who was looking at her with an indifferent expression.

Belinda casually paced behind the sofa. Her face was calm, but there was an oddly misplaced, girlish shyness about her, “He blinded my eyes and drove most of my people away. Now, what do you think he’ll do next? I think he’ll come to find me, to put the necklace on himself. How exciting! “Grandma,” a tiny voice rang inside Belinda’s head, the same way it sounded inside Vera’s, but Vera stayed calm while Belinda froze in complete confusion. Her eyes widened, and her hand tightened around Vera’s arm because for one second she looked around the room like she expected to find a child hiding behind the table, under the bed, or somewhere near the door. The old woman’s head even turned toward the window before she looked back at Vera, stunned and almost breathless.
