Bellamy inquired, leisurely chewing the casserole he had taken a bite of before approaching me. "I need to speak to Monique," I replied without hesitation. His captivating eyes and broad shoulders held me captive. "Hmm, she's not available," he shrugged, drawing his face closer this time. "But I must speak to her," I whispered awkwardly, obediently clutching my hands in front of me. "Speak to me," Bellamy countered. "You have your mates here. Why do you want to go talk to some seer?" He made it clear that he believed I was about to complain about them.

He slowly poured the liquid over the wound on Lissa’s chest making the skin underneath sizzle as tendrils of smoke rose from the wound. Her ear-piercing screams rang throughout the room again. Bellamy hissed as the liquid splashed up, burning his hands, leaving behind bright red blisters. Once the decanter was emptied, he placed his glowing hands over the place where the branding had been and began to mumble an incantation.
