“Aggressive. Focused. You gave them no room to breathe.” I smirk, tossing my tape into my bag. “You sound surprised.” His lips twitch, but it’s not quite a smile. “I expected nothing less.” Before I can respond, Ben, still half-dressed in his gear, leans back against the bench, stretching out his legs. He glances at Nikolai before speaking, his voice casual but pointed. “At least now you’ve got someone in the family who can fucking play.” The room doesn’t react. No one laughs. No one even shifts.

He hadn’t said a word since we’d left the warehouse, and the silence between us was starting to feel unbearable. I couldn’t take it anymore. I had to say something—anything—to break the tension. “So,” I began, my voice rough from the dust and exhaustion, “you want to talk about it?” Ben didn’t look at me. He just stared at the ground, his fingers tracing the edges of the dog tag that he still held in his hand. For a long moment, I thought he wasn’t going to answer. But then he spoke, his voice low and tight. “There’s nothing to talk about.”

Bane pointed out. “I am. I’m just taking a stroll with my good friend Luke. And when we have finished walking, I will go home and continue to be on sick leave,” Tom said. “I may have mentioned that we would pick up someone that had been disrespectful to miss E,” Luke told them, not taking his eyes off James. “Fucking perfect. Are we expecting someone else? A fucking mariachi band? A teenager delivering pizza?” Bane asked, only slightly as annoyed as he let on.

He turned to look at Ida and said, "From today, you can call me Ben. That's my name." Ida furrowed his brow, "aww...so you will finally reveal your name?" "Actually, I thought I would only see you once or twice in all my entire stay as Beau's mummy but we have been meeting often, I think fate is nice to me." Ida smiled. When the elevator stopped, both adults walked out. "Mr. Pimp....oh sorry! Ben, this isn't where my office is," she said. "I know, follow me to mine," he said but Ida hesitated.

Bret exclaimed angrily. "Hahaha...that's because you're funny! Hurry up and get yourself a girlfriend, Bret! So you'll understand sooner! Don't stay alone too long! Your gun will become dull, you know!" exclaimed Tom shaking his head. Bert was getting more and more confused, so an anxious Tom whispered something in his ear. Tom's face turned red with embarrassment. Meanwhile, Tom left him to join Allan because the show was about to start.

I turned my back against them, knowing that how this kind of conversation will end up. "I am not yet done talking." She gripped my arm to stop me on my way outside the comfort room. She was so determined to get even with me. "Let go of me, I am not interested in what you wanna say. I don't have much time for this nonsense conversation. Let me just inform you that you don't have any right to do this kind of thing just because you're bored." I said and shook my head in disappointment due to her immature behavior. It was pretty obvious that she was head over heel to Thorn.

The Toms and Havens. “They are officially our suppliers now. It wasn’t so hard to convince them.” Benjamin said as My eyes are skimming through the doc. “Of course, they wouldn’t reject my offer.” I raise my head up, a proud smirk drawing on my face. Like always, I am not so belated about the sealed deal because my company always seal deals. I mean who wouldn’t want to collaborate with the Almighty Trists delight? But Something seems off. Benjamin. He isn’t his usual enthusiastic self whenever he successfully strikes deals.

That day, Ben didn’t go to the office. Instead, he urged Jamie, “It’s about time. Let’s go.” Jamie, carrying Charlie, hurried out. “Coming, coming.” Seeing her glowing appearance, Ben smiled and teased, “You’re looking more beautiful every day.” Jamie rolled her eyes playfully. “I didn’t know you could be so smooth-talking.” Ben chuckled. “Is telling the truth considered smooth-talking? Or are you just afraid to face how stunning you really are?”

Ben asked, “What do you think about my idea?” “I didn’t do it because I can’t throw far.” “Well, then I’m gonna try and see what happens.” Ben climbed the ladder in the stockroom up to the roof hatch. He grabbed a handful of nuts and bolts to throw as far as he could. He tiptoed over to the edge of the roof and spotted the black sand monster. Counting to himself: One, two, three! Ben threw the nuts and bolts like a fastball. The monster undulated and crackled as it slithered faster than any snake could. Damnit! ‘That thing’s too fast’, he thought. Ben returned to the sales floor where Tommy and Paul were waiting.

“Is there a movie you’d like to watch?” “Tom and Jerry.” Benjamin ruffling her hair. “Want me to make some popcorn?” “Salty." “Got it.” Benjamin set the channel to the cartoon and kissed Bonita lightly before heading to the kitchen. As the familiar antics of Tom and Jerry played on the screen, Bonita felt her frustration slowly ebb. Her heart still ached, but she fought to keep her emotions from ruining the already strained atmosphere.
