Gwen broke out from their kiss as she gazed at him surprised. "Why so fast?" She whispered. "What is so fast?" He asked. "The kiss, you don't know me and yet you kissed me, a stranger to you." She said calmly. "You are no longer a stranger to me, I have known you for days, even though I don't know your kingdom and the reason you are here." He replied swiftly. Gwen stared at him for a long time, as if studying his face. "I am sorry, I have to leave now." She said as she stepped away from him.

But then his face changed a little—he wasn’t happy, but he was interested. “Trust isn’t easy to get here,” he said, stepping closer. I wanted to step back but stayed still. “Especially from someone who’s so… unknown.” “That’s fair,” I said softly, just so he could hear. “But I’m not a threat. Not to you.” He smiled a little—but it wasn’t warm. “We’ll see, Medor Thornwell.” Then he turned and walked back to the stage. The crowd moved apart for him like the sea.

I should— But I didn’t. I just stood there for a second, looking at him. His face was calm, like none of this affected him. Unlike me. Everything inside me felt messy. Loud. Confused. And before I could stop myself… I leaned in. And I kissed him. It wasn’t planned, it wasn’t even perfect. But it happened. And for a moment… I didn’t think about Ethan. I didn’t think about anything. Just that one second.

Like it was exactly where she was supposed to be. He kissed her. Not for cameras. Not for a narrative. Not for anyone or anything except the two of them at a window in Singapore with the truth out in the world and thirty years of other people's careful planning finally at rest around them. When they pulled back she was aware of the room. Of Priya very deliberately looking at her laptop. Of Adaeze very deliberately looking at her phone. Of Grace at the table with Catherine. Grace was looking at them. Not with the watchful assessment she brought to everything.

Eventually, Karna's tongue pushed into Gwyneth's mouth and the kiss became deeper and less playful. Gwyneth's breath was stolen by the intensity of that kiss, by the way Karna's tongue hungrily explored her mouth, by the firey reaction in the pit of her stomach. She kissed back with a hunger that frightened her. It was as if she was trying to pack all she could into that one kiss. Karna seemed to be doing the same, kissing her with a frenetic need. When the kiss broke Gwen was panting and Karna's face was flushed. Her eyes were smoldering, wreathed with lightening and shining with power. She was revealed then, in all her majesty, and Gwyneth felt small and mean in comparison.

"You know I can't resist you. You're manipulating me." "It's not manipulation when you want it too." Kieran leaned to the side and kissed her neck. "I know you want this, Gwen." She pulled his head closer until their lips were touching. "Just kiss me." She whispered and pressed her lips on his. He reacted immediately. His hands burrowed into her hair and angled her head as he deepened the kiss, biting and sucking at her lips. He lifted her out of the water and wrapped her legs around him, the gown bunching around her waist.

After he stared at me in the dark for a while, he obeyed. I used the moment to get my phone ready and when Steven stopped drinking, I crushed my lips into his. Snapping a photo of it, the light illuminated my mask and his face with his gray eyes wide opened. A ridiculous way to kiss someone! Not sure if this was proof that he wasn’t gay, I kissed him again before he could see that I was giving half my attention to my mobile. It was like kissing your brother, no passion, no sparks. Just two wet mouths moving.

Well, except for the gaze of the man burning holes through my head, I was fine. "I'm Damon. You caught my attention since the beginning of the show but I did not want to disturb you so I waited till the end of the show to approach you." I breathed out as if he was nervous to talk to me. Looking at him now, he had great looks. He was pretty handsome and he was taller than I am. Very well. But not as tall as…. Stop that right now, it thought. "Oh….. I… I'm not very good at this. My name is Gwen. I'm a fashion enthusiast that luckily got an invite to come to a great show like this one." I said to him and he laughed. He had a nice smile.

“Couldn’t help but notice he was being a little weird, but I guess that’s common for Ralph.” She knows Ralph? Well, I guess that makes sense considering they came from the same pack and he was within Keith’s inner circle. Maybe her knowing his name really shouldn’t surprise me. And yet, I can feel my brow lift a little as I study her face. She seems to notice my confusion as she soon nods. “I’m Gwen,” she tells me. “Kai’s girlfriend.” Oh, Kai. Now it made sense. Kai was another member of Keith’s close group and attended all of the meetings. And he was here tonight with the same party I came with, which explained why Gwen has probably dropped in. I assume she must have just arrived. .

Paula smiled as she hugged him and then kissed him on the cheek. "Gwen, your sisters seem to be awfully pleased to see your sweetheart here. Are you going to greet him properly or are you willing to let one of them steal him away?" chided Caroline. Gwen stepped up to Steve and kissed him quickly on the lips. "Now girl, Lisa and Kate did way better than that. I saw you kiss him better on the national news. You were just telling me that he's your first boyfriend and how you worry about some other girl stealing him away. That little kiss isn't going to get the job done, is it Kate?"
