Alpha Beowulf was drinking and eating with his family when his beta,Gregor rushed in with some werewolves disturbing their family union. "So who is this insolent being that dared to challenge me"he asked angrily in a loud voice."Before his beta could reply him

The cold bit harshly into my skin despite the layers I'd summoned, my tapped out reservoir was focused solely on scaling the madness of the highlands and staying alive. I should have made better preparations, should have prepared better and the evidence of my lack of better analysis of the situation appeared before me when a large Beowulf appeared in my path, large and foul smelling with two full rows of jagged teeth that was just as sharp and deadly as the mountain terrain, pure white fur covered it's huge muscular frame, giving it a kind of blend in with the snow save for the piercing blue eyes that gave it away.

Beowulf boomed "Tys vanquished them all...in one minute, father... Our enemies from the mountain pack are no more" Thane said, looking at me in awe. "Tys destroyed a whole army of mountain men?" Beowulf asked in disbelief. "Yes...and healed you from your grave injuries, if not for him, you would be dead" my mother said to her husband, in anger. "But...but how come?" Beowulf asked, shock written all over his face. I didn't know how it happened, but at that moment, all my feeling of bitterness for this man flew away and pity for him replaced it.

But that didn’t deter him nor did the pain in his left thigh, the surge of rage inside him continued to fuel him, making him feel somewhat indestructible and as a result fearless. Beowulf managed to throw him off him, rushing to overpower him as he wrapped his arm around his middle in a crushing grip, sucking the air out of him. Cole groaned in pain. The other man squeezed, tightening his hold, trying to break Cole’s spine and crush his ribs. The pain was excruciating. And then Cole watches him start to change. His nose extended into a snort with his sharp canine teeth elongating. Cole raised his two hands with effort and jabbed his fingers into his beaded black eyes. Beowulf grunted in pai

“What do you have in mind?” My lips tightened. Even though we were chess pieces in a battle between gods and Fenrir had saved the day, there was something I could do to even the score. Something the wolf god had mentioned earlier drifted to the front of my mind, germinating an idea that made my lips curl into a smile. “That asshole and his pals at the Supernatural Council are going to regret treating us like pawns,” I said. Hours later, Griff and I returned with Lydia and the enforcers to the Living World, where I discovered why Beowulf had rejected Lydia and sacrificed her to Fenrir.

The moment I asked this asshole went into a full-blown quiet mode he was not taking and he looked like he had been thinking of something way important with the way he creased his forehead thinking deeply. But then he answered and honestly, no matter how I tried to make out the entire story he had just told me, I just couldn’t make out what and where the so-called Beowulf Pack was and now it made sense why he had healed super-fast and easily it was because he was not human.

I sigh and look up at Beowulf. "I think you should meet my wolf, I also wish we could go to my home," he grins devilishly at me. I chuckle and wiggle my finger at him to lower his head. I placed my hands on both sides of his head and gazed deeply into his eyes. Our surroundings disappeared and we appeared in a lush pine forest. It was dark and the air was fresh. Beowulf grins and looks around in amazement.

’ Beowulf tells me, causing apprehension to settle in the pit of my stomach. Before I have a chance to respond to Beowulf’s words, a familiar wolf comes running from the tree line a hundred feet away. When the Beta of Derrick’s wolf pack sees me standing there with Salara’s lifeless form in my arms, her blood dripping from the worsening wound on her neck, he halts in place, his eyes wide in shock.

Ruby babbled to the crow. "Caaaww!" it answered back. "I think I look crazy. I'm talking to a bird and I can understand a cat monster. Fine, Uncle Venrir I'm coming." Ruby put on her shoes and followed the bird as he flew to the forest. The crow went off the track so she had to trail her way on the uneven and jagged ground. The bird led her deeper into the forest where the trees are thicker and the foliage is bigger allowing almost no light to pass at all to light her way. Several times she lost sight of the bird so she just paused and waited for Venrir to find her, which he always does and brought her further and further into the unknown. The forest soon lost the sound of the chirping birds

I stood up, propped up on my desk, and said to Nuri with respect, "Good Morning, Your Majesty." "Please take it easy. You are Sibyl's sister, and you are my family." Nuri pulled Sibyl to sit down. "Our soldiers searched for ten days and found the bodies of some soldiers and horses. There was no Beowulf in it." His brows furrowed and he rapped on the table irritably. "Our soldiers cannot openly search a large area because the soldiers of the Second Prince of werebear are also in the valley. They almost ran into each other several times."
