The Master Bathroom The bathroom was a sanctuary of black marble and gold fixtures. In the center sat a massive soaking tub, easily big enough for two. Alex bustled around the room with manic efficiency. He turned on the water, adjusting the temperature with obsessive precision. He poured in bath salts, lavender and eucalyptus to soothe muscles. He also lit candles to create a warm atmosphere. Zara sat on the vanity stool, wrapped in a plush robe, watching him move around the bathroom.

The study was dark, so I opened the blinds and took in the room. It was very... August. Brown. Black. More black. Not a single color brave enough to survive in here. There was a minibar. I wasn't surprised to find it stocked mostly with expensive whiskey. The bookshelf took up almost an entire wall. Business books. Finance books. Leadership books. Books about making money. Books about keeping money. Books about probably becoming even more unbearable than he already was. Not one novel. Not even a guilty pleasure romance. What a sad life.

The bathroom was every bit as spacious as Dominic's bedroom. The polished marble floor reflected the afternoon sunlight streaming through a narrow window near the ceiling. Even his nightstand was organized, with a gold-rimmed clock, a single book, and the heavy scent of wealth and spices clung to the air, it was intoxicating and yet irresistible. This room was so Creed. Perfect. Controlled. A place where chaos didn’t exist. Except right now. Because at the time, he was a fevered mess, gasping fitfully under the blankets. There's a mirror on the wall in front of the sink, the toilet was also in a corner and the best part was the bathtub, I've never been in one before. I went closer to it and touched it to see if it was real and it really was. This would be so perfect for a long warm bath after a long day, I could feel my body already reacting to how good it would be. I went out of the bathroom and opened the closet door, ohh my goodness this is a freaking walk in closet, it's not too big but it's half the size of my former room.

I think the only place I haven’t seen a book is in the bathroom. “No,” I say, flipping the book open and paging through it. “I don’t think he would.” I skim through the book on preparing for a baby, on all the things I need to have, and do, and think about. It doesn’t take long before I’m so overwhelmed that I don’t think I take in anything after the first few pages. If I do, I certainly don’t remember it. The knowledge just floats in through one ear and goes straight out the other.

A luxurious bathtub rested on a raised platform, surrounded by cascading silk curtains. A glass-enclosed shower gleamed beside it, designed to mimic a gentle rainforest cascade. Twin sinks sat beneath ornate mirrors, golden faucets glinting in the soft light.
